Oh! Hello, there.
My name's Evelyn. But please just call me Evie. Everyone does... Mostly everyone, anyway.
Welcome to my blog? 'Blog'. That's what this is called, right? Oh, dear. Do forgive me... I'm not the most well-versed in modern technology. But I'm learning! Quite slowly, I have to admit. But it takes a little time and practice to master any skill, doesn't it?
I hope that you enjoy your time here, regardless of my shortcomings.
I'm not the best at holding conversations, so do keep that in mind, but know that I'm still very excited to get to know you all the same! :)
Did you see that? I made a happy face with a colon and a parenthesis! My goodness, there's just so much to learn...

OOC:
- Evie's Blog! (Hosted by Knives of @knifewithamic)
- Lackadaisy OC!
- OP is 19 (Evie is 23)
- Anything goes, within reason!
- Answers to asks will likely come in at random!
- Will be a mix of asks, posts, and also reblogs that I think Evie would like.
- Evie has romantic feelings for Mordecai, but in the current timeline isn't able to act on them much. (She is still affiliated with Lackadaisy at this time.)
- PFP art isn't mine! Credit goes to my amazing moot, who chooses to remain anonymous but I still wanted to mention them here at least a little because they're wonderful xx
(Note: I do ship Evie with other Lackadaisy characters as well, but her relationship with Mordecai is by far the most fleshed-out, hence it will be the main focus here if/when the matter of relationships is brought up. Though I *can* shift gears to other pairings if asked to do so.)
I do like stuffed animals. Quite a bit, actually! I find them to be very lovely. <3
As a child, one of the few toys I owned was a stuffed animal. A white rabbit, with floppy ears and a little green ribbon around his neck. I named him Turnip. Why "Turnip"? To this day, I'm still not sure.
Perhaps it was the fact that he had white fur, and a green ribbon? Certain turnip varieties are white, with green leaves...
At the time, I must've thought that he looked like a turnip. Enough to the point that I had named him after one. ^^
Now it finally makes sense, after all these years of wondering!
Well... Friends do all sorts of things, together! ^^; Not that I know every single thing that friends do, but... I've picked up on a few, at least.
Some activities that friends partake in might include going on walks, attending events, eating or drinking together, trying out different hobbies, and visiting each other.
There's obviously much more to it than this, of course, and friendship can vary in how it looks from person to person. :)
And the way I see it, friendship doesn't need to follow any sort of "rules" or structure. So long as there's people who care about one another, friendship can look however you'd like it to! <3
Oh-- Um... I'd like to think that I've made a couple over the past few years, at least. ^^;
I care for the ones I have very much, and I'm forever grateful towards each one of them for being in my life. <3
It's nice to have friends, I think. :) And fun, too.
I've never intentionally gone out of my way to make friends, before, but... I'd like to try to putting myself out there, now that I can do so.
It might not be the best thing for my nerves, but making true friends is one of the many things that I feel that I missed out on in my younger years. So, I think that it's only fair to my younger self that I make up for those missed opportunities.
Not that I'm not still young-- Of course there's plenty of time left, but...
Oh dear, I do apologize. >< There I go rambling, again...
Jumping out of a moving vehicle sounds very interesting to me.
Oh... Does it, really? ^^;
Thank you. I suppose, then, I wouldn't mind sharing a little more of what had happened.
Just know that I'll need to be mindful of what I do decide to say. And I might have to be a little vague... So, I do sincerely apologize for any lacking details. ><
One evening, not very long ago, myself and a few of my... friends... were out on a drive, simply minding our own business. But the next thing you know, one thing had lead to another, and we had gotten ourselves into something of a car-chase.
We didn't start this, mind you. The other vehicle had started tailing us, first. I found it to be a little impolite of them.
After some wear and tear from this chase, our car wasn't looking too well. I don't know much about vehicles, nor exactly how they work, but... I knew it wasn't going to end well for any of us, if we stayed put.
So my friends and I had to jump out right there and then, running the rest of the way back on foot. :(
Thankfully, no one was badly hurt. But it was rather stressful.
And tiresome.
Again, I do hope that this wasn't too dull of a story...
I hope that you're doing well... Or at the very least alright. And taking good care of yourself, too. (Drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, eating... You know, those sorts of things!)
And I know that can be easier said than done, but... it doesn't hurt to try, right? ^^ As long as you're trying, I'll always be proud of you. No matter what.
And the same goes for anyone else who happens to read this message, as well. <3
Hm... Well, when it comes to cooking, I usually try to stick to simpler recipes to avoid making the process too difficult. I'm more of a baker than a cook, personally.
Pasta-based dishes are usually a safe bet for my skill level. And they happen to be some of my favorites, too. :)
Oh… Does it bother you, at all? :( I’m so sorry, if that’s the case. The last thing I’d want is to rub anyone the wrong way.
I try to stay positive because that’s how I feel the most comfortable interacting with the world... It’s what feels right to me, if that makes sense. (I hope it does, at least. ._.;)
But I’m also able to understand that others might not feel the same way. ^^ And that’s perfectly alright!
All of this to say, you’re more than welcome to feel however you do about this space. Or about me, by extension. :)
Well, for the most part I tend to gravitate towards light, floral scents. Either floral, or something with vanilla-esque notes? It depends on my mood, really.
Nothing that’s too strong, of course… I’m prone to getting headaches from heavy fragrances. ^^;
However many braincells that is. Don't you die without a certain amount of them? I'm not sure. ><; Oh, dear... I don’t like to think about death too much.
But let's just say, for simplicity's sake, that I've got enough of them to still be here!
Oh, that's... a bit of a tricky one. But I'll still try to answer, of course!
I would have to say that my favorite object that I own is my newest pair of gloves. They're pink (my favorite color!), and have a soft, warm lining on the inside. I'm going to make sure that I take especially good care of them, since they're quite lovely.
The gloves were gifted to me as a birthday present, by someone who's very special to me.
It's a much-appreciated gift, because my hands do get cold quite easily. Especially in the colder months! ^^;
Spicy food? I can tolerate spice, but only to some degree. Usually, as long as there's water nearby, then I might have a chance of getting through it... Partially unscathed, that is. :)
If you're referring to 'spice' as in reference to my username, I originally meant it as a reference to cinnamon. Which happens to be a spice, and one of my favorite things in the world.
can u count how many total pink vs black hand/toe beans u have pls
Hand beans? Toe beans?
Hmm... I'm not quite sure if I've heard either of those terms, before. But I think I get the gist of what you mean!
I have mostly pink "beans". However, the index and ring fingers on each hand have black "beans" on them. And the same can be said for the toe "beans", as well.
That's such an interesting way to put it... Beans. I suppose they are a little bean-like, now that I think about it.
And thank you so much for being the first to send in a question, kind stranger! ^^ It means so much to me, really.
