Two friends walk into a coffee shop and chat
The concept of Coffee Shop Talks is to ask people questions they don’t always talk about, but should be talking about. The process was went as followed: everyone who was asked a question was given a brief background on the topic, and then they were give one to three minutes to respond on camera. It is important to acknowledge that it is an ‘on the feet’ response. There was no chance to plan and formulate a complete answer, because life does not always work like that; people get nervous. When sitting down chatting with your friends and family conversations are messy and they should be. The point is to start thinking about these issues and have an opinion on them. These conversations are not limited to a coffee shop, the idea behind having the title called Coffee Shop Talks is coffee shops are where you hear chatter. So, let’s continue the chatter throughout all aspects of our lives! When your riding the bus or at your dinner table bring up one of these questions and listen to the responses!
When you are listening to the interviews think about how you would respond. As long as the response is not derogatory or way off topic feel free to share your opinion!
