thank you for the pro Palestine support. You are the only one out of your friend group that has said anything at all here for some reason I don’t understand. I was beginning to worry that the silence was not accidental. We need voices!! Even if each person only says or agrees with one thing each, if we all do it it’s something!! Together we can build our voices to be so loud they cannot ignore!! Thank you!!

It accomplishes nothing to go around and angrily chide microcelebrities for not posting about a global conflict. Coming to someone on your own side with the message of "you're not a good person because you're not speaking up" does not further any cause at all.

Do not adopt the mindset of "if we all post about it, it'll stop!" because you have no idea what people are doing behind closed doors to help, and you have no idea why someone might think carefully about what they post. Many of my friends get death threats for reasons as simple as being a woman or having an opinion about a video game. There are people whose mind is occupied almost solely with finding reasons to justify attacking someone, and when you're a marginalized person with a platform, the frequency and likelihood of someone following through with those threats shoots up.

I don't appreciate your sentiment, and I want you to stop thinking like this. Put this energy towards spreading information by your own hand, not being upset at others for not doing so themselves.
