Last glimpse of sunlight on Mt. Everest. | “It’s hard to describe the feeling when you’re standing in front of the tallest mountain in the world. I had heard about the mountain since I was a kid and now suddenly there it was in front of me. When I walked to the Everest Base Camp earlier that day the mountain didn’t really look like anything, everything is so massive you kinda get used to see all the huge peaks on the way, but after you stay for the sunset hours the magic really hits you. While the sunset glow disappears from all the other peaks, you can still see the Mt. Everest peak lit up just by itself for few more extra minutes. Being there by myself and looking at the light fading away I almost cried. It finally hit me that I was in front of the highest mountain in the world.” ~ kpunkka
