serious post incoming, please read!
recently, i saw something on tumblr that really worried me and have been hesitant to speak on it, but truly i cannot hold a good conscious without even vaguely talking about it.
trans guys in the boy blogging space, please be careful of who you interact with!!! (ESPECIALLY if you’re active in nsfw spaces, as i know many of my mutuals are) no matter how safe you think an online space is, predators are EVERYWHERE!!!
as trans teenagers, its entirely understandable for us to be curious or to search for solace in online spaces. while it’s 100% normal to look for community, it should be with OTHER TEENAGERS!!!!
before i continue, i feel the need to clarify that i am in no way a prude. i am very pro-k!nk and s3x positive. like i said earlier, i’m very aware that many of my followers and or mutuals are apart of nsfw/k!nk spaces. i believe teens should have spaces where they can talk about these things, but it’s VERY important to note that adult predators can and will take advantage of this. these adults should NOT be interacting with you if they know you’re a minor, nor should you be interacting with them.
this leads me to what i’ve been seeing; adults either flirting with minors or being in full blown s3xual relationships with them.
this behavior is not only disgusting, but is illegal and both a s3xual and cyber crime. not purely a kink. it is not hot or sexy to be with an adult at your age, you are being groomed.
this is not to say it’s your fault if you are in this kind of situation. it is NEVER your fault. these people are GROWN and preyed on your naivety. they know better, you do not. it is NEVER too late to get out of these situations/relationships. you can block them, anonymously report them, and so forth. you are not alone, and if you need support, i am more than willing to help!
