If your muse joined an evil team, which would it be and why? Does any of the leaders' rhetoric make sense to your muse?
This is a really interesting question of character morality and principals! Because it doesn't imply an AU, but an actual assessment of morals and ethics. So I'll break them down in groups:
Team Aqua, Magma, and Galactic: Hard no. These three have goals that end with mass murder (at best) in many cases. Aqua and Magma are absolutely insane and would essentially kill a good chunk of life if either succeeded. Galactic is just... insane. Their ideals are too nihilistic for her and they'd leave too much of a sour taste in her mouth.
Team Rocket and Plasma: As it stands, she can't see Pokémon as either tools or currency, which Giovanni specifically does. We know from Team Rainbow Rocket that if not beaten by Red, Giovanni would have no heel-face turn whatsoever, and that rhetoric wouldn't jive. Though she would "appreciate" that Team Rocket does value Pokémon lives, that concept doesn't fly.
Plasma, on the other hand, is a goofy case of bait and switch. She'd have been, what, fourteen - sixteen during the events of B/W and B2/W2, combined with Plasma's ideals, least outwardly, especially with N at the helm. She already doesn't believe Pokéballs are needed for training and she isn't a fan of battling. So their presented ideas aren't bad. Especially if people do so willingly. Now, under the skin: hard no. Ghetsis is that crazy uncle at Thanksgiving that believes lizardfolk live under Denver Airport and we should kill everyone. She would want nothing to do with that.
Team Skull and Yell: While maybe sympathizing with these two, she wouldn't fit either. Skull are bullies a little too eccentric for her while Yell, in her words, are a bunch of 'loud twats'. Unlike the prior teams, she doesn't hate them though.
Team Flare: She hates Kalos and Kalosian culture. Lysandre is Kalos given human form. It's clearly never meant to be. Plus they just want a big shove off weapon. That goes against her core beliefs.
If your muse was to join another region's league, which would it be and why?
Honestly, Alola. Her big gripe is that Galar's league is too much of a "sport", instead of being about the training between partners. Alola's league is all about training together as one, journeying through the nature of training and battle. That would actually be an encouragement to her and she'd try it out.
Does your muse have strong opinions about "untraditional" leagues like Galar's and Alola's?
I'll skip Alola since I just did that but, Galar, yes.
Make no mistake they're fun to watch and they all put in their work: but it's too much of a spectacle. She notices all the ads stitched into Leon's coat. The enforcement of uniforms, live shows and bands at the arenas, the Dynamaxing.
It's enjoyable and apart of her culture, but it feels less about the training and teamwork to her and more about the battling for onlookers. There is something artificial to her about the Galarian league even compared to Kalos. There really aren't spectators, and things aren't televised. It just leaves a sour taste in your mouth.
Thank you again! This was very sweet and a lot of fun! I hope these were good!!))
