The immense temptation to only post about home decor and everything i’m planning and getting for my apartment.......exquisite
For the anon asking about astrology readings: on Etsy there’s a shop called Startreeastrology, I did their speed read ($15) and it was AMAZING. The seller is super sweet and even thought it was technically a speed read she was soooo thorough and answered all my questions!
!!
I was wondering if you could recommend someone who can do an astrology reading for me. Over the phone or online btw bc I’m from Canada. Thanks!
Hm maybe Amber Khan/The Quietest Revolution??? I’m pretty wary of a lot of people who claim to be astrologers but she seems legit I used to watch her youtube videos a lot a couple of years ago where she did monthly readings for the signs and she was always weirdly accurate. She does personal readings on cameo and you can choose between a mini tarot reading or a longer more extended reading :+) if i were ever going to get a reading it’d probably be from her
oh my word, i have a phobia of opening a restaurant after kitchen nightmares and hells kitchen. though I had little interesting in owning a restaurant. but the shows were stressful and cemented my not going into the restauranr industry
Ikr every episode of Kitchen Nightmares seriously felt like a mini greek tragedy to me. Esp when they’re dealing with family owned restaurants ughudifghuif i feel like owning a restaurant as a family can just exacerbate all the dysfunctional dynamics
please open a restaurant 🌈
kitchen nightmares and hell’s kitchen have given me a phobia of ever owning a restaurant but i do lowkey dream about writing a cookbook one day 🥺
I’m a Leo, and so LVOE to be seen and experienced. Any tips on things to do that are safe, socially distanced but fulfilling that would allow em this without directly endangering everyone in the world because of my inflated sense of importance would b great thx. I am only half kidding. I love you I hope you’re well❤️🥰❤️
Lmaooo get on tiktok or youtube!! In any other situation except quarantine I prob would have never said that but I think the only way to be seen and experienced while social distancing is through social media and getting twitter famous is too insane and instagram famous ppl usually seem really boring their lives seem too curated. And this site is already dead and buried. Just do it for fun tho don’t get too caught up in numbers :+) which i know is hard lol but still. I know the joke is that everyone thinks they’re good enough to make a podcast or a newsletter or whatever but for some reason those youtube videos where people are just talking about something whether it’s a topic they researched or some interesting stories from their lives are so much more preferable to me even tho they’re basically like a podcast (i’m talking about like. those true crime channels where ppl are just putting on makeup or even just sitting there lol or video essays about specific topics) idk somehow it just comes off better on youtube imo.....
Other things tho that I think are fun are just having reasons to dress up and get ready in general. So for me I’ve been dressing up for these virtual lunch dates I have with my best friend which are nice. Idk where you live but if it’s somewhere with warmer weather going on picnics in the park is fun. Or just getting takeout and eating in the park lmao there really is nothing to do out here except walking outside and eating huh okjndwfwsdf I’m sorry hun I hope this somehow helps 💞
Fav veggie Japanese dishes ?
the one i make the most often is kombu tsukudani just bc it’s a quick and easy way to use up left over kombu from whenever i make stock for something lol otherwise i feel really bad just throwing it out
last winter i made this simmered kabocha recipe and it was really good! i love pumpkin in savory dishes :-) and of course you can omit the bonito flakes if you want this to be completely meatless
not strictly japanese but i saw a recipe from future neighbor (a korean youtuber) a while ago where he made eggplant tempura and i made it and it was delishhhhh def make sure to use japanese eggplant tho bc it’s easier to cut into wedges since it’s long and skinny (rather than like italian eggplant which is shorter and wider). honestly there are a million different fried eggplant recipes using some kind of batter from different cultures i don’t think you can ever go wrong with it
i was gonna say miso soup but it’s not purely vegetarian bc i use bonito flakes for it. i used to make miso soup without it and while it’s obviously still really good the bonito flakes do make it so much better i could never figure out why my homemade miso was never as good as restaurant miso soup and it was bc of the bonito flakes i think. whenever i make it i make a huge amount of it and have it for the next few days sometimes adding other stuff into it like mushrooms or clams
also. i haven’t made this yet but i am dying to try okonomiyaki i keep seeing ppl make it online and it looks so fun

Favourite cook books?
My fav ones:
Bottom of the Pot by Naz Deravian
Taverna by Georgina Hayden
My Korea by Hooni Kim
Peru by Gastón Acurio
Taste of Eastern India by Kankana Saxena
Also, while I like the books Samarkand by Caroline Eden and Eleanor Ford and Fire Islands (again) by Eleanor Ford I don’t really care for white people writing cookbooks about and profiting off of cuisines from cultures they’re not a part of. If I were redoing it I wouldn’t get them again
also. some cookbooks that i really wanna get:
Oaxaca by Bricia Lopez and Javier Cabral
Coconut & Sambal by Lara Lee
Jikoni by Ravinder Bhogal
In Bibi's Kitchen by Hawa Hassan and Julia Turshen
Nopalito by Gonzalo Guzmán and Stacy Adimando
East by Meera Sodha
Aegean by Marianna Leivaditaki
wait what’s going on in ohio... i live there but all i know is we have a lot of astronauts (presumably to get OUT of ohio)
Not to sound like a republican senator talking about liberal coastal cities but: there’s so much crime and sexual deviancy there........
when i was a kid crime shows made me think that nyc and LA were where everyone got murdered but as an adult true crime has made me absolutely terrified of the american midwest....
Food I made this year
Made a sexy ass salad with mixed greens + sliced beef + dressing made of sesame oil, honey, tamari, pressed garlic, and chili powder :-)
