SHE CATCHES HER BOTTOM LIP between her teeth, the flattery made manifest in the way her cheeks flush a soft pink. she should be USED to the way he compliments her, how he treats her like the PRINCESS he always calls her—but the truth is, she just isn’t. she’s certain she never will be.
❛ i’ll say. i thought you’d be back last week. what happened? ❜ she asks as she takes a few steps back from the window to let him in.
that wasn’t FAIR! here he was dangling from her window and she decided to be adorable;; reverting back to that girl he’d first met when the impala had rolled into town. and just as beautiful. it was hard to shake himself out of the trance he’d fallen into && yet easy considering he wanted to get his feet planted on the ground again, well some kind of ground. pulling himself up he slips through her window and pulls the blonde into his arms. a place it feels like she belongs.
“well the guys thought you were probably better off without me. && we kind of let chad drive...n e v e r let chad drive.” she might actually have been better off without him, but he wouldn’t have been without her. if she needed proof the way his arms tightened around her frame and he buried his face into her neck would have to suffice.
