“It has been a while, oui. Why are you, how you say– not feeling happy?” Toulouse furrowed his eyebrows, knowing that wasn’t how to properly say it, but he was trying his hardest.
“I haven’t had the best of luck lately. But that’s alright, I’d rather hear about you! Like what brings you to America?”
“Oh, bonjour Colette! Je ne pensais pas vous voir!” The boy spoke without thinking then quickly realized she probably didn’t speak his native language. “Mes excuses. I mean to say hello. Very nice to see you, oui? How have you felt?”
Colette knew some french from hanging around the Chat family, but hasn’t quite mastered the language just yet. “Ça va! Hi Toulouse. I’ve felt better, to be honest, but my mood is a lot better seeing you. It’s been a while.”
“Les cookies sont un petit déjeuner acceptable, non?”
“Oui! H-Hi Toulouse!”
“I’m definitely in agreement – where do we start?” he smiled, looking at the chart, then at the other two, a paper whistle dangling from his mouth.
Vanellope hid the box she’d had in her hands, pursing her lips and nodding in agreement. “Well I said happy birthday but..I couldn’t do anythin’ for her so I need to make that up to her, we need a Luau!”
Colette smiles at Vanellope. “That is a perfect idea.” To Gaige she says, “Are you a very social person? Because no matter what kind of party we do, it’‘s going to be huge and I know we’ll need more help.”

“Guys, we have a problem.” She carefully leans over the table where various party-related things are sitting, pointing at the chart she made. “We missed Lilo’s birthday. And we need to make it up to her. Everyone is in agreement, right?”
“I guess it would be cool, if you’re into that sort of thing.”
“I’m not! Oh...” she blushes. “I just keep hearing people talk about it.”
Colette sits in the library, one of her favorite books open, even though she wasn’t really reading it. She has read Rosie Dunne at least three times now, and was equally captivated by their love story each time. It was frustrating to watch them get so close to love but have one small factor keep them apart. It was an endless cycle in the book, that went on for years. When Colette first read it, she thought it was going to end with the cycle restarting. But she was quite surprised. Unfortunately, even Rosie Dunne couldn’t distract Colette from what was really on her mind.
She felt like she was being rather foolish; first loves came and went and she shouldn’t even say she was in love with Ben. But maybe she was? She didn’t know, she was so, disgustingly, young. But just because she was young did not mean she was naive. Yes, she didn’t understand sex and what the point was, because it only brought pain from what Colette saw. It brought her pain at least. Sex was what she caught her mom doing with a stranger and now she hid that secret from her siblings, even though each day it felt like a weigh that was crushing her. And then Ben cheated on her, which she couldn’t even pretend didn’t hurt a lot. Overall, Colette should have just stuck with her books. At least she could figure out the outcome of their fate because the book had to end eventually.
So there she was, sitting in the library with a book open, even though she was looking forward, lost in thought until another person sat across from her. Startled she closes her book, clutching it to her chest. “I’m sorry! I can leave...”
Does anyone want me? Because I’m in a meh mood but wanna write so if ya don’t I’ll prob read a book.
“I can’t offer you much else to listen to than vinyl’s, I’m afraid. We don’t own a radio.”
“That’s alright. I enjoy that stuff.”
"Lana isn’t here right now.....I’m sorry if you wanted to see her.”
“I just need someone… You don’t have to.”
“No...I kinda need someone too....So I’ll stay with you, if you don’t mind.”
“Will you stay with me…”
