"Michael?" Sam's voice was small and hesitant as he stepped into a church. Empty and most likely abandoned, but holy grounds nonetheless. Ever since their fight, Sam had been ashamed to pray to him, but Michael was his mate. He needed him. And with spring around, more than ever. "Michael...?" It was so shy and innocent, like a child that feared the wrath of its parents. "Michael... Please... I beg of you..."
Michael’s Grace was splintered around the Church. He clung to the backs of the pews where Sam couldn’t see him, hung off the sharp edges of the large cross that hung in the pulpit, glimmered in the shards of light shining through the painted glass.
“Hello, Sam.”
The voice reverberates through every atom in the church and through every atom of Sam. He does not reveal himself, and stays hidden about the holy place, but he is there, and it is palpable that he is feeling something in the presence of Sam, though it is not apparent what.
*Sam swallowed nervously when there was no response to his offering. He nodded once in acceptance, thinking he wasn’t welcome anymore. As he was about to turn around and leave, he was stopped by the being’s hand and froze on the spot, fearing what might happen now. Did he do something wrong? He simply hoped that he didn’t. He even made a small prayer for it not to be true. The murmur didn’t reassure him, but at least, it was a start.*
It is nothing. I just… need you. This fight is stupid. I’m just so tired of this. I just wished you respect my believes as much as I respect yours. Is that… so hard to do? *He didn’t dare turning around, fearing that he might flee if he did.*
Michael grimaces into Sam’s back. Of course his mate would ask of him the one thing he could not freely give. Sam was not a part of Michael’s world or his Heaven and therefore was not included in the bottomless well of love that God had graced him with. The spirit created by an other was not one that God had anticipated Michael coming to meet and had thus not included such a clause as to allow Michael to love with the same heart he did all under Yahweh’s gaze. Sam was outside of that and as much as Michael thought he ought to love, and wanted to love him, it was not in his nature, and Michael was not a creature allowed to change.
The angel’s fingers twist in the softened fabric of Sam’s hoodie and wishes blindly he could show some sign of remorse, but he had none. “I… want you to be happy, Sam. I don’t wish to fight with you, and I don’t… I do not want you to be hurt by my… rigid nature anymore.”
*The lack of answer was what he expected and the thought of it made him smile sadly. He loved Michael unconditionally. He loved him and adored him. Loved him like he was part of his family and right there, he noticed the difference. The love of God can only go so far. Which meant Michael could never love him the way Sam did and the idea of it devastated him. And at this moment, he wondered… could Michael feel it? This new life growing within him? Could he even sense the hint of his own grace within this new creature that they created together?*
You make me happy. *Sam wanted to put his verb in the past in a sense that he regretted Michael’s departure over something so stupid, but he didn’t. For the simple reason that Michael was too uptight and wouldn’t notice the difference, anyway.* I’m not asking you to believe in my believes. All I ask of you is to respect me for what I choose. To love me for me, not argue with me because of what I believe in. *The celestial being sighed softly when he felt the fabric of his hoodie twist under his mate’s fingers.*
That’s what I did with you. I love you for you, Michael. I love you for all that you are. I simply wished you’d understand at least that far.
“I cannot…” Michael breathes into the nape of Sam’s neck. “I cannot remain here.”
In an instant, he’s gone.
A moment later a figure steps out from the cross. A man with dark skin, worn smooth by work and sun, clean shaven but with thick, coarse hair tied back in a bun. He does not smile, but the expression is there in his face. Only warmth and radiance in his aspect.
“Hello, Sam,” he greets softly, his fingers gently brushing the foot of Christ on the Cross as he drops to the ground with a solid thud. He smiles down at his feet, covered by soft trainers, and his hand drops to his side again, the dark skin over it’s back broken by a mass of knotted scar tissue. His worn clothes look soft and lived in as he takes a step towards Sam they move with him. His bright eyes glance over Sam appraisingly. This is a rough time for him.
“I do not mean to come at a bad time, but I believe this to be the best time. Would you mind speaking with me? Perhaps over pie?”
*Sam’s heart broke when Michael simply gave up and left. He wasn’t expecting him to take part of his believes. All he wanted was for him to understand, but he shouldn’t have expected that much from an angel in the first place. He scoffed bitterly as tears rolled down his cheeks. He shook his head out of disbelief. Maybe he’ll come back. Maybe he just needs time to think. That had to be it. He lowered his gaze to himself when he felt a flutter deep within him. A heavy sigh left his lips as he slipped his hand underneath his hoodie to lightly brush the pad of his thumb over his milky white skin.* Looks like it’s just the two of us, now. *He breathed out to himself only to gasp and startle at the new voice behind him.*
*Quickly, he retrieved his hand from his hoodie and turned around to meet the stranger. His voice was warm and comforting, but Sam knew better than to have somebody good watching over him. Especially after what just happened.* H-How do you know my name? *He inquired with a croak, his voice weak and defeated.*
Who are you? *Sam breathed out, but the mention of pie had his stomach growling loudly. A deep blush of pure embarrassment appeared upon his cheeks as he lowered his head and sniffled lightly.* I...I’m not really good company, right now, I’m afraid.

Magnificent, is it not? Untouched by the humans. Full of life. It is here that I come gather strength and it is here that I…*Sam looked over at Dean, as if he was uncertain of what he was about to say, but when the Sun gave him a court nod as a silent way to tell him to keep going, Sam returned his attention to Thomas and blushed deeply out of embarrassment.* That I give birth to the Stars Dean and I conceived…
“Oh– Oh…” Thomas said, looking down, feeling now like he had bumped in their middle of their relationship. He forced himself to look up after a few moments, not wanting to be rude- Specially not here. “So why am I.. Here?”
*The Moon’s eyes glowed softly as he leaned in to steal his lips for a kiss once again, but this time, it lingered. A soft moan escaped his lips as he finally parted from him and bit onto his lower lip to mute himself until he found himself able to speak again.* Because, you are different. Dean and I, we... we decided that we simply couldn’t live without you. So, we gave you something very precious. A tiny spec of our very essence. Combined to your very soul, you became part of our family. You... *Sam licked his lips nervously as he looked up to meet his gaze.* You are a star, Thomas.

*The Moon’s traits brightened up at the sight of the smile onto his lover’s face, but when he seemed confused, Sam simply nodded courtly before slowly helping him sit up.* Your new home. *He sat onto his heels to reveal the sparkling lights surrounding them and a magnificent waterfall flowing with a vibrant and healthy blue colour. Almost turquoise. They were in a clearing where the flowers bloomed and the trees were fruitful and strong.* We are at my shrine… at the plains of Venus.
“But humans shouldn’t be allowed here-” He mumbled under his breath, looking in awe all around them. He’d always wondered what Sam’s shrine was like, even tried to paint it a few times after some of the Moon’s descriptions, but this was far more beautiful than anything he’d ever imagined. “This place is— Wow…”

Shhh… *Sam soothed him by resting his delicate hand upon his chest. He took a deep breath before looking over his shoulder to see Dean enter with a bright smile on his face.* Look who’s finally up. *Sam scoffed softly at the Sun’s words before returning his attention to the newly born star.* Your new home…
Thomas looked over his shoulder, smiling when he saw the Sun. But happiness was quickly defused into more confussion. “My- My new home?” He asked, looking at the Sun as if he would hold all the answers, and then turned back to look at the Moon. “I don’t really… Remember much…” He looked around the place completely unknown to him. Could they- Could they be at either of the god’s shrines?

Thomas… *He breathed out as he cupped his cheek tenderly so he could gently move his head to lock his gaze with his.* My precious little star. *Sam was wearing the same flowing tunic he had worn the day he had return to him.* It is alright. You are safe, my love. *On these words, he dipped his head and closed his eyes as he pressed a soft peck to his lips.*
“What happened?” He asked drowsily, the kiss took him by surprise but he returned it gladly. He parted away from the kiss to sit up, rubbing his eyes and trying to get adjusted to the light. “Where- Where are we?”

“Hnn-” Thomas complained, blinking his eyes open and letting out a noise of complaint with the light that was shining directly in his eyes. “Sa– Sam?”

“I- I am sorry I swear I didn’t mean any of it it just came ou—-”
“That—- That was sarcasm wasn’t it…?”
*Sam could feel it. The pull at the back of his head that warned him somebody was calling to him. A small and awkward prayer that made the Moon grin. With a soft sigh, he stood up gracefully onto the calm and clear waters of his shrine. He was dressed in a pearly white flowing garment that sparked whenever he moved. A fabric so delicate that it followed his delicate movements, like a breeze making thick fog roll and sway. With a deep breath, Sam appeared in sparks of light, the trail of his traditional tunic sparkling with thousands of tiny diamonds. Each representing a star.* You… You called? *He asked hesitantly as he adjusted the white gold circlet surrounding his head.*
Thomas turned instantly when he noticed the spark of lights coming from his right side. He saw Sam standing there, in a beautiful white garment that shun like the stars in the night sky and there was only so much he could do to not drop his jaw. “You came-” He gasped out, a grin tugging at the corner of his lips as he stood up and looked at the moon. He wanted so bad to hug him and hold him again, but he was afraid of wrinkling the god’s tunic a dumb worry, really, but he couldn’t help it. So instead he just stood there, looking rather awkward and not knowing what to do with himself. “T- thank you.. For.. For coming.. I— I’ve missed you…”
*Sam’s gaze softened at the sight of the human babbling before him. His pale skin glowed softly under the moonlight and as he looked over at Dean, a warm smile appeared upon his traits when the other god bowed his head out of respect. He returned the gesture with a court nod. A white gold circlet decorated his forehead with a crescent moon pendant made out of sapphire.* You prayed to me. You, who is a man of Faith, but not of my religion. You prayed to me. *He slowly approached him, his trail brushing over the floor and as he stood before him, Sam leaned in to press a soft kiss to his temple.* I should be the one thanking you. I yearned for you as well, Thomas.
Thomas’s face turned a bright red with the kiss, and though it was to the temple, a friendly gesture, it still took Thomas a few moments to regain his composture. “I was worried you wouldn’t hear me-” He admitted with a nervous chuckle as he met the god’s gaze. “You look…. You look magnificent-” He said in awe. He’d seen Sam before, wearing beautiful capes and attires, but the human had never witnessed something so magnificent and beautiful, and the way Sam’s skin seemed to be glowing in the moon light- It nearly made Thomas cry at such a beautiful sight.
I always hear when someone prays to me. *He reassured in a whisper before leaning in and pressing another kiss, but to his cheek, this time. He smiled fondly at his reaction, his hand reaching up to delicately cup his other cheek.* Thank you. Thank you so much. It means a lot to me. It is the attire I wear whenever I am at my shrine. It's where I find strength. But then again, I can find it here... with you, as well.

*Dean cocked a brow at the other’s request, but did it for him nonetheless.* Very well. *He murmured under his breath as he crossed his arms over his chest and waited for Thomas to start his prayer. He bit onto his lower lip in thought before finally peeking over his shoulder and at him.* You are my favourite human, by the way.
Thomas waited until Dean had turned around to kneel down by the offering, he bowed his head and quietly said in his head. I— I’ve never prayed to another god before so I am… Really hoping I am doing this right. Sammy—– I miss you, and I know you come here every night, but I still miss you… Dean is with me right now, and I think he misses you too. Could you— Could you maybe come tonight? And if not that’s okay.. I don’t know how a god’s life is… But I bet it’s probably busy… I.. I love you.
Thomas was interrupted out of his thoughts at the words that came from the Sun, he stopped abruptly and looked up at Dean. “I— I am?”

“Hopefully- I always find the cocoa gone by the mprning.” He smiled and finished setting things up. “I am gonna go put my pjs on, I’ll be back.” He said, reaching in a drawer, pulling out some pants snd a shirt snd exiting the room to go change. Thoma returned, fully changed, a few minutes later. “Ready-?”
Then, that is definitely a good sign. *Dean chuckled as he wiped the corners of his mouth before neatly folding the napkin and setting it next to his own cup of delicious cocoa. It truly was a divine beverage. He snickered at the thought and nodded when the human informed him that he would go change. He never understood the concept of pyjamas. Of course, they were practical for the cold nights, but when it was hot? Why was it humans still wanted to wear them?* I am not the one praying to him. You should ask yourself that question, not to me.
“Sorry-” Thomas apologized with a nervous laugh, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. He knew how to pray to his god, but he did not know how to pray to Sam, and he would feel dumb by asking Dean, but at the same time he feared doing it wrong. “Uhm… Would you… Would you mind turning around…?” He asked nervously.

“What do you mean?” He asked, mixing the chocolate troughly into the milk. “Like just—- Just pray to him outright?” Thomas grabbed two cups and poured sone into each, adding mint leafs to the one made for Sam. Thomas walked back into the room, holding two cups. “For you-” He said and held out one to the god.
Why, yes. Sammy will definitely listen to you, for he likes you most among the humans. And that, my friend, is something that is rare in itself. To be a god’s favourite. *Dean blushed when the human returned to him and caught him with his scarf around his neck. With a court nod, he gladly took the offered cup and hummed as he smelled the delicious scent of cocoa.* Thank you.
“I- I don’t know what I did to- to deserve that… Wow.” Thomas smiled, cheeks a soft pink as he laid down Sam’s cup. Thomas laid down on the edge of the bed and looked up at the sun. “Do you have a favorite human?” He asked out of curiosity.
You do. If Sam prefers you, then there has to be a reason why you deserve it. *Dean took a sip from his hot cocoa only the cough when he heard the human’s inquiry.* W-Why do you wish to know that? *He dared to ask once his coughing fit calmed down.*
Thomas shrugged and grabbed a napik nd held it out to the god. “I am just curious, you- you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to though.” He tried to reassure as he looked up to the Sun. Thomas’s cheeks turned a bit red and he went back to preparing the offerings for Sam, laying down a plate with some cookies next to the cup and a sketch of the night sky that he had been working on for a while now. (Living in the country where there were clear skies ceirtainly made a difference).
*The Sun God cleared his throat awkwardly as he gladly took the offered napkin and wiped his mouth with it. He set his cup down and unraveled the scarf from around his neck to watch Thomas prepare himself for the offerings.* These are nice. Do you think it will be enough to get his attention? *He dared to ask to change the subject he had been put into.*
How to care for the Sun and Moon: Always keep mint and hot cocoa around, make sure you give them fluffy blankets to sleep with. Always keep some fun trivia for them so they can learn more of the human world, and show them affection <3
Lots and LOTS of affection~<3
