Silence crowded the air.
An uncomfortable smile kissed by the warmth of the sun.
The river held our stories and soothed our sorrows.
The softest breeze lifted the veil of the unseen.

Title: Linda Diptych Oil on acrylic on canvas, 28 x 48 inches, 2014
I am a figurative painter who has been focusing on portraits. I paint to find out what I think about the world: to discover the things I do not have words for. I savor the slips of the hand that express one’s unconscious feelings. I am interested in the tension between abstraction and realism. I do not want to make an academic copy of the model or a photorealistic illustration. My portraits explore the tension between what needs to be shown and what does not, the seen and the unseen. I often paint multiple portraits of the same subject. Working with the same model or source photograph over time is part of an effort to get away from academic copying and move towards an image that captures the static of our information age. I am interested in the transition from High Renaissance perspectival form-making (using color and tone to turn forms in space) to a new, flatter type of image modeled on TV, video, and computer screen images as they flicker and break up. The figure, the marks and the ground compete, creating a static interference that interrupts the image.
Vincent Junier- I’m a French artist who’s having fun by creating assemblages and collages for more than 10 years. My artwork is guided by the desire to tell stories. But instead of writing, I’m using mixed media components such as found objects, lost images.

"I have always been fascinated by the dramas of human existence and how they are expressed as I attempt to capture isolated moments of introspection in my paintings, often to emphasize the solitude and thoughtfulness that comes when someone contemplates their inner self. These explorations of the human form through semi-urban and semi-abstract portraitures reflect the personal journeys of the subjects and speak of complex, storied characters. I tend to focus on specific human emotional states and represent them in their dissected simplicity. My work may at times appear pessimistic, but in essence I am simply capturing those moments when pessimism and hopelessness are being confronted, acted upon and ultimately conquered and replaced by realization, awareness, calmness and a more positive sense of self. These moments never kill us, but only make us stronger."

"I'm a designer who lived and based in Taipei, Taiwan.
I create stuff with digital software. And I started to do my illustration projects when I have leisure time.
My drawing theme and subjects are always related to the fashion industry and people who work in it.
To me, these people are the most simple people. They just simply love the fashion things.
And I hope that everyone can feel the fun in fashion through my observation and creation."

Title: Faces
Fabien Delaube - "Picasso was my first influence i used to travel a lot, and, instead of taking photos of people i meat,i had to take time to draw their faces just in remembering, and fixe their own personality as I could.. I love grece and her story, her different gods, the ancient greeks writers(Homer , Sophocle..) that's why I give greek names to some of my paintings as well as the Japanese story, the cambodge and thailand and China too. I used to work a lot for theatres and i loved the way that a man can act and be someone else. I'm interrested too by the way that a lot of people hide their real personnality behind a strong static hard mask..and behind the mask, there always a fragil human being."
