From the description: “Fede rings are traditionally betrothal rings with the design of clasped hands dating to the Romans. The central hard stone cameo set in what we call a collectors mount, features clasped hands in agate with two turquoise colored stones set on either end.One stone is Odontolite while the second stone is Persian turquoise. Odontolite is a very rare stone.Odontolite is a fossilized bone that has naturally been colored in the earth to a turquoise color. Under magnification, the stone shows striations similar to what you see in ivory.English in Origin. Circa 1820.“
