It’s strawberry season in Florida. That means strawberry skillet cake. Meltingly tender butter cake, bursting with juicy strawberries, with a nice crunch to the top, and a drizzle of lightly sweetened crème fraîche. #baking #strawberries

Bacon-Maple-Cardamom Old Fashioned 🥓 🍁 🥃. My first foray into bacon-washing bourbon was a success. Cook two strips of bacon until crisp. Reserve bacon for garnish. Pour 2 ounces of bourbon into a wide glass (for the most contact with the bacon fat). Pour warm rendered bacon fat into bourbon, mix well, and let sit for an hour, then freeze mixture until fat solidifies. Remove top layer of fat. Pour bacon washed bourbon into a rocks glass. Add 2 tsps maple syrup, and 10 shakes of cardamom bitters. Stir, and add one big rock and a strip of bacon for garnish. #bourbon #MapleSyrup #cocktails
