Sanae’s poking her fingers together all awkward-cute-like as she approaches Reimu, which is… somewhat odd. From Reimu’s point of view, Sanae is usually pretty damn bold unless she’s angsting over something.
Or she fucked something up and is about to apologize to Reimu to ask her to help clean up–
“Uh… Hi Reimu. I was just wondering if you had any plans for today?”
“...If you’re here to ask for a favor, I’m–”
“N-No, no, it’s not like that! Honest; I just… want to know if you’re free. No one else has asked you to hang out today, right…?”
Reimu furrows her brow. “Well… no. Why?”
“Oh! Okay, great! Then I’m going to hang out here today, since you’re free and I happen to have the day off.” Suddenly taking a cheery tune, Sanae smiles and takes a seat right beside Reimu as if she’s already been invited to make herself at home. “Oh, also, I brought lunch, if you’re hungry. If not, you can eat it later, whenever.”
“...I guess it’s fine, since you brought food. Just don’t be too noisy.”
“Yay! I also brought tea if you want to have some at some point. Don’t worry, I made sure to get a kind I know you like this time. And I got some rice crackers on the way here too, just in case you were running low.”
There’s silence for a moment, and Sanae suddenly begins to look worried again.
“I-Is something the matter? Sorry, I guess I’m talking too much…”
“...Nah. You’re fine. Tea sounds nice right now.”
At those words, Sanae brightens right back up. Really, Reimu doesn’t get her at all…
Reimu sighs. “Thanks. Like I said before though, if you can keep the noise down, that’d be great.”
