             Arena Day 2
Hunt the Hunter (âś–)
Woke up to see my wolf pup have a growth spurt in the morning, ready to devour us for breakfast. Dealt with him in the woods and found a sword, which I then traded for a warhammer thanks to a nice ol’ blacksmith that I thought was going to be some kind of demon.
Casey vs Colton, Gianna and Mena (âś–)
Tried getting in a fight with Casey, only to get stabbed in the eye. Suggested we split up. It seemed Gianna and Mena haven’t returned from their brawl with the girl from Six. I wasn’t sure if they’re going to come back.
Undead (âś–)
I felt extremely bad for leaving Gianna and Mena behind, but perhaps I made the right choice. I had no idea how that fight would have ended up had I decided to stay. I was alive and that’s all that mattered. After I made my way back to town, I found a cozy bar to stay in for the night with some potatoes, empty bottles, and water.
Location in the Arena: Empty Bar in the Abandoned Town. Inside Building C.
Allies: Possibly dead...
Any weapons/equipment on you: Three throwing knives, and orange survival pack. 2 bottles of water, 1 peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a basic first aid kit (3 bandaids, disinfectant cream, 1 gauze pad), 1 stick of charcoal and chalk, 4 matches, a wooden stake, sack potatoes, and empty bottles.
Injuries: A scratch on my side from my fight with the wolves. I treated it by myself and hopefully it’ll be better in the morning. One eye blind, took out the nail inside and patched it up.
Events of the Day: Exchanged my sword for a warhammer. Casey came by to fight which I avoided, and found some items in the bar I’m currently staying in.
Notes: Missed the Fallen show because I was so exhausted and I fell asleep. I’m alone... Gianna and Mena either left me or are dead. I can’t believe I decided to abandon the only thing I had in this Arena that was close to home...

You open the door and find a quiet bar inside. There are tables and chairs set up, an unlit fireplace with a pile of logs beside it. The bar itself is along the center wall with several stools in front of it. Behind the bar is a single shelf with several empty bottles, a sack of potatoes and a basin of fresh water. Care to linger for the night or chance your luck elsewhere?
A bar, sweet. Maybe he could wash away his sorrow with alcohol. Then perhaps while he was drunk, another Tribute could slit his throat and end his time in this horrific nightmare. He walked over to find there were no drinks for him whatsoever, besides water that is. How disappointing. Nonetheless, Colton filled the empty bottles with the clear liquid and stuffed them inside his pack.Â
He lined a row of chairs together as a makeshift bed and pushed them along the wall so he wouldn’t fall off. Colton laid down to try and get comfortable. His stomach grumbled and  prevented him from getting any sleep. He realized he hasn’t eaten for two straight days. Reaching into his pack, he grabbed a sandwich and took large bites. It was the first actual food he put into his mouth since the Capitol. He then took one of the bottles he’s filled with water and gulped it all down. All the adrenaline from the Arena made him forget to take care of himself.
Sighing, Colton washed his hands with water from another bottle from his pack. He used a tiny bit of disinfectant cream to get rid of any other germs on his index finger and thumb, as well as around his eye area. Biting his bottom lip, Colton took a deep breath before digging out the nail. After the deed was done, he kept it in his pocket should he need it. He then patched his injury up with gauze and two bandages.Â
“One eye left... maybe the freaks in this Arena will welcome me as one of their own.” He grinned and laughed softly at the thought. Soon, he finally drifted off to sleep.
Undead  || OS
Trudging along the forest and dragging the warhammer on the ground, Colton was a basically a freakish zombie in his condition. No Tribute would ambush him, they would scream their heads off once they saw his face. They would probably mistake him for the monsters that were in the Arena.
He was in a daze from the events that occured. Gianna and Mena were left behind, and he had no idea what happened to them. His selfishness brought upon guilt that ate him from the inside out. He might as well be dead. He certainly looked and felt like it. His eye felt numb and it didn’t sting as much from before, but he occasionally wiped the droplets of blood that trickled down his cheek.
After what felt like hours walking in path 10, Colton took the road that led him back to the abandoned town. There, he made his way to a much larger structure than the one he spend his time in with Gianna and Mena. A sigh escaped his lips as he stepped inside building C, awaiting for whoever or whatever is going to pounce at him in any moment. He readied his warhammer just in case.

Hunt the Hunter || Colton, Gianna & Mena
“The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Realight.” he winks, “Now, off with ya!” he returns behind his anvil and brings up a second war hammer from behind his work station and begins working on your sword, all while keeping a very close eye on you, “You might want to head back to your friends.” he says sternly after the faint sound of the front door opening catches your ear.
Do you linger with the blacksmith or head back to the store front?
"You know my name?” Colton rolled his eyes. Must be a Game Maker trick again. Gattin liked to mess with his head like that. He swung the war hammer in the air, getting a feel of it. “You’re quite the craftsman,” he stated, referring to him working on the sword he exchanged. Colton’s ears perked up when he heard another individual enter. He wasn’t exactly positive if Gianna and Mena left just yet.Â
Colton sat down and watched the blacksmith with fake interest. “So how’s it like working in a place like this?”
Hunt the Hunter || Colton, Gianna & Mena
The blacksmith stares at you for a moment before cracking a grin himself, “You got spunk, boy. Don’t see a lot of that these days and I ain’t one for striking when theres been no wrong committed. In case ya haven’t noticed, me shop’s pretty bear.” he chuckled, “What’s say I offer ya somethin’ different, a trade. That sword of yours’s lookin’ a bit full. I could work with somethin’ like that.”
“My hammer for your sword.” Do you take the trade?
Colton pondered on the offer. That hammer looked pretty deadly and he could do a lot of damage with it If only he knew how to use such a weapon. Besides, it would be difficult to carry around with him, and relying on his agility as well his speed a lot, he couldn’t afford to be be burdened with too much weight. Then again... “Not a lot of customers, huh? You know what, that’s a fine looking hammer. Sure, it would be an honor to trade.”
In exchange for the hammer, Colton gave up his sword.
Hunt the Hunter || Colton, Gianna & Mena
He stops working and steps out from behind the anvil, a heavy war hammer in his hand, “’fraid I don’t, and even if I did I don’t expect you have means of paying for it.” He twirls his weapon in his hand, his eyes fixed on you, “So I hear your friends waiting for you back that way. How many of you are there?”
Now this was more like it. Colton wanted to applaud the Game Makers for getting him there for a second. A nice ol’ man in the Arena. Hilarious! A smirk crossed his lips. “Well I have been known for stealing a few things back home. Even if I did have money, I don’t think you have any needs for it in this dump of a town,” he retorted, drawing his sword yet again.Â
He turned back around to the door. “There were three of us, but I think Gianna and Mena scurried off, so you don’t have to worry about them. It’s just you and me, Blacksmith. Care to defend your precious shop from this lowly thief?” Colton grinned.
Hunt the Hunter || Colton, Gianna & Mena
The ting grows louder as you move down the hall and the air grows warmer, the closer you come to the source the more you can make out that it sounds like metal striking metal. The hallway ends with an open room on the right and, “Good morning, lad!” a cheerful voice says as you come into view.
Looking inside you see a burly looking man wearing a blacksmiths apron working on some horseshoes on a fixed anvil, “Can I interest you in anything?”
Colton lowered his weapon down and raised a brow. He was not expecting something like that at all, especially with the Arena he was in. Still, something was wrong. The town was abandoned, or so he thought. A blacksmith should surely be out of business. Who would he serve if there wasn’t anyone to be his customer? “U-um... good morning,” he replied, forcing a smile.
His gaze lowered down to the anvil and then back to the man. “Oh. You see, I’m kind of preparing for a battle. Do you have anything that could protect me from say, other weapons? Say a shield or armor?” he asked politely.Â
Hunt the Hunter || Colton, Gianna & Mena
While Mena seemed as prepared as Gianna was to move out, Colton seemed to hesitate. He was trying to push them to open the door, which made Gianna roll her eyes. While she herself was prone to falling into the trap of curiosity, there were more urgent issues at hand. Maybe Colton was stalling. Maybe he’d set a trap for both of them and behind that door.Â
“If you’re curious about the door, then you go see to that. It’s not really on the top of my priority list.”Â
Colton and Gianna seemed to be in a battle for dominance within their group. It made things a bit difficult. Both of them wanted to lead and neither seemed particularly inclined to compromise with the other. Mena had known this alliance wouldn’t last forever but she was wondering if it would be shorter lived than she had previously hoped. She found herself looking at the door that Colton seemed rather adament about going through. While she might love to know what was behind it, Colton had been here before they had and perhaps he had done something, like set a trap for them. Looking at Gianna’s face she had a feeling that she was thinking the same thing.Â
“Honestly, I’m with Gianna on this one. I don’t particularly feel the need to see what is back there,” Mena said, her gaze going back and forth between the door and Colton. While the other two may be fighting for dominance, Mena felt no need to take control until her time came.
Colton shrugged and walked past the two. “And here you were saying that I shouldn’t go off on my own.” A sigh escaped his lips. “Alright fine, if you want to go hunting then do as you please.” He opened the door, letting the cold chill pass by. Narrowing his eyes, he once again noticed the small glow and the ting that became louder as he grew closer to it. He turned back around and looked at his so called allies with a blank expression. “You’re free to separate from me. I don’t believe that you have the need to return after stating your priorities. If you do come back to this place to check on me, I might be dead, so it wouldn’t be worth it, right?”Â
He wasn’t so sure about doing this the night before, but after killing three grown wolves, the adrenaline fueled his curiosity and courage. “Oh and Gianna, I’m analytical too. Upon closer examination, this place is a Blacksmith’s Shop. What do you think a blacksmith crafts besides horseshoes?” Weapons, and the Game Makers wouldn’t let something like that fall into the hands of Tributes so easily. They would want a show first, and that was what Colton was planning on giving them.Â
With that, Colton drew his sword and made his way down the dark hallway.
Hunt the Hunter || Colton, Gianna & Mena
Gianna watched Colton run out of the building, Hunter in pursuit, and shook her head. He’d killed two other wolves, but she figured he’d just used instinct over anything else. If he’d just waited two seconds, he would have seen she had a plan for them to attack at once and easily overpower it.
“We should have something for breakfast and be ready if they come back,” she said to Mena, slightly irritated.
When Colton came back, she slapped him on the arm. “You shouldn’t have run off like that.” Gianna was beginning to think an alliance with Colton had been a bad idea, since he was clearly more adept going solo and wasn’t going to listen to her strategies. And now he had a sword to add to his inventory. She was regretting giving Mena a knife as well. She might turn into a literal backstabber. “And don’t go back to sleep. We should get moving soon. If we keep off the path, spread out, create signals.” She grinned.
“Let’s go hunting”
Mena stared, eyes wide, as Colton took off running with Hunter chasing after him. When he disappeared from sight she turned and glaced around the building, at the damage the wolf had done. She deliberately pushed down all of the emotions she could feel rushing about in her head. She needed to be clear headed, observant, and analytical. Mena knew she needed to keep her wits about her, especially after getting a taste of what the game makers could really do.Â
Turning around, she watched as Gianna moved about the room, doing whatever it was that she felt necessary. Mena tucked the knife that the other girl had given her away, there was no way that she was giving it back. It was familiar, comforting and the most effective weapon she had at this point. Kneeling by her pack, she had a quick meal of half of one the sandwiches and 1/3 of one of her water bottles that had been in her pack.Â
Mena heard a noise and moved to pull the knife out before realizing it was Colton returning relatively unscathed. If she hadn’t known to watch him before, she certainly did now. The group gathered their supplies and began to move out, Gianna and Colton seeming jockying for the front of the group. Mena followed a step or two behind, content to follow for the time being as it allowed her to observe the environment around her as well as the two in front.
With a brow raised, Colton gave Gianna an irritated look once she slapped his arm. “A simple thank you will suffice...” he grumbled. Didn’t he just save the two from a hungry wolf? She could at least be thankful. Colton also took note that Gianna prefers things go her way, perhaps OCD that he could take advantage of later on. “Well I promise never to run off like that again, sweetie. I’m assuming you missed me?” he grinned teasing her. There was no point in arguing. Stuff like that could ruin the alliance they were in and the trust they had for each other... if there was even any.Â
“That’s something I’d like to hear.” Colton smirked in response to Gianna’s suggestion. He was so fueled up by adrenaline, killing yet another wolf and attaining a sword as his reward from a gruesome fight. “But something’s been bugging me since I got to this place. That sound from inside the room.” He shushed the two to listen, a ting soon being heard from the silence. “I just passed by a dead monster during my battle with Hunter. It wouldn’t surprise me if there’s more,” he stated.
The smirk remained in Colton’s lips as he twirled the sword and made his way around the dusty counter to open the creaking door. “Ladies first,” he grinned. The two girls had no battle scars. He thought that it was about time to change that.Â
Hunt the Hunter || Colton, Gianna & Mena
Mena woke up due to hearing a rustling sound. Opening her eyes she saw Gianna moving around. She gave herself a shake to get rid of the last remnants of sleep from her mind. She heard Gianna speaking but it took a moment to register what she was saying. When her words clicked, Mena’s head shot up, looking at the large wolf. The wolf, having decided to live up to his name, was now hunting them.Â
“Shit,” Mena said. She had begun to look around for something better than her stake to use as a weapon, when Gianna slide a knife across the ground to her. She picked it up, feeling the familiar weight settle in her hand was a comfort to her. She threw her pack onto her back and stood up, immediately falling into a defensive position as she watched the wolf’s eyes dart between the members of the group.Â
Suddenly, the wolf jumped at Colton, unable to do anything to stop it Mena was forced to watch. She looked at Gianna briefly before beginning to look around the room. They needed a plan, needed to do something or none of them wouldn’t be leaving the building alive.
Hearing both Gianna nudge and Mena’s voice, Colton awoke to a startling surprise. The little wolf pup he’s raised just became a wild vicious beast like his parents in by night. “Well, damn. The animals here sure grow fast,” he stated, trying to add humor to the situation as to make it seem less troubling.Â
Acting quickly, Colton grabbed all his belongs and rolled to the side, Hunter missing him by just a small distance when he decided to pounce on the boy. The beast snarled, staring at Colton right in the eye. “Whoa there, you don’t want to end up like your parents, do you?” Colton couldn’t find it in himself to end the poor thing’s life, but it was better to kill than be killed. That was the rule of the Hunger Games.Â
Hunter decided to pounce again, missing Colton a second time. The impact from Hunter’s head created a huge hole in the wall. Whilst the animal was down, Colton took advantage of the opening in the building and stared at his eyes. “He wants me,” he stated. “I’ll be right back!” With that, Colton leaped out of the empty Blacksmith shop and sprinted for the forest. Hunter chased after him, using his sense of smell as soon as the beast got back on its legs.Â
Arena Day 1
Into the Woods (âś–)
Ran off into the forest after realizing other Tributes were headed the same direction as me. When I reached the fork in the road, I was greeted by a small family of wolves. Killed the male Alpha and the female She-Wolf. In return, I got to keep the little pup as my ally whom I named Hunter. Then I traveled to the abandoned town and entered an empty Blacksmith shop. Hunter warned me that exploring what’s inside was dangerous, so I turned back around.
Hiding in the Shadows (âś–)
Decided to get into an alliance with my District Partner and the girl from Twelve. Being in a huge group had its advantages and also disadvantages. I might be safe from someone who wanted to ambush us, but it made moving around the Arena difficult. We all agree to sleep for the night and move forward in the morning.Â
Location in the Arena: Empty Blacksmith Shop in the Abandoned Town. Near building labeled D.
Allies: Gianna, Mena, and Hunter.
Any weapons/equipment on you: Three throwing knives, and orange survival pack. 2 bottles of water, 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, a basic first aid kit (3 bandaids, disinfectant cream, 1 gauze pad), 1 stick of charcoal and chalk, 4 matches and a wooden stake.
Injuries: A scratch on my side from my fight with the wolves. I treated it by myself and hopefully it’ll be better in the morning.Â
Events of the Day: Found a wolf pup companion and named him Hunter after killing his parents. Then I got into an alliance with Gianna and Mena.
Notes: I really want to see what awaits me at the end of that dark hallway, but I decided to find out in the morning instead.Â
Hiding in the Shadows || Alliance || Colton, Gianna & Mena
Gianna nods absent-mindedly as Mena talks. She seems like she needs a break, so Gianna decides to gather things up to make some basic traps around doorways. Most of them would just be tripping hazards, provided she could find some string or something. The stakes could potentially be used for traps, but she didn’t want to have to sacrifice a weapon for something this temporary and she doubted either of her “allies” would either…Â
So she searches around the room for something, anything that could be made into a trap. Or at least cause somebody to trip over in a loud, dramatic fashion.Â
“I’m not making any promises on not tripping.” Colton winked. He never knew Gianna was good with traps. Alliances were a great way of finding out other people’s skills, and during he Finale, use it against them. He then turned his attention to Mena. “I don’t think traps will be too helpful if the Game Makers send some kind of Monster after us. I mean, just look at the Arena. I’ve already heard some growls and screams from afar,” he added.Â
Truth be told, Colton wasn’t too sure about sticking with an alliance of three for long. Sure, being in a huge group could provide safety for him, but it also makes moving around the Arena difficult.Â
Colton laid down with Hunter beside him, watching Gianna set up the traps and figuring out how it works. Even if they didn’t work, his wolf pup would warn him if anything tried to disturb them in the middle of the night. Then he applied some disinfectant cream on his injury and patched it up with gauze tightly. With that, Colton closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.
Hiding in the Shadows || Alliance || Colton, Gianna & Mena
Mena laughed darkly, “We are in an arena fighting for our lives… yeah it might be a good idea to keep our guards up.” She paused and listening to the silence following her statement. “Sorry I suppose my sense of humor is a bit dark at times. It might be a good idea to settle in for the night, come up with a plan of attack and move forward with it in the morning. Yes?”
She began looking around the room again, attempting to get a good idea of layout and the rooms contents. Finally she settled against the wall just to the left of the door. It allowed her to see the entire room and both of the other tributes within, while still giving her access to an escape. Mena sighed and leaned her head back against the wall, still observing her surroundings.
Well damn. Colton made sure to pay a little more attention to the girl from Twelve. He wasn’t so sure if her humor was the only thing that was dark. She could very well stab the two Tributes from Five while they slept. Thank goodness he had Hunter to warn him just in case she thought of doing such a thing. “That sounds like a good idea,” he agreed to her suggestion. “But just steer clear of both doors. Sleep somewhere you can escape easily, and keep your weapons nearby should you need them,” he added.
Colton sat on the floor leaned against the dusty counter. “What do you guys think we should do? Offense or defense? We can hunt for the other Tributes, or we can just try to survive as much as we can until the Arena. But if we don’t start killing soon, the Game Makers might do something to change that.”
Hiding in the Shadows || Alliance || Colton, Gianna & Mena
“No, not yet anyway” she responded.Â
Mena looked around at the old building they were in, trying to get a lay of the land… and search for any and all possible escape routes. Not that she had any intention of moving away from the door just yet. It’s not that she didn’t trust the other two it was that… Nope she just didn’t trust them. They had a some familiarity with each other, being district partners. Mena on the other hand knew she was the odd one out.Â
She watched Gianna playing around the the wolf pup a bit before looking up at Colton. She observed him for a moment before deciding to reach out in some way. “How has it been for you? So far, I mean.” Mena knew she should try to make some kind of peace with her fellow tributes.Â
So Colton had managed to kill a few wolves and adopt their baby… And had some knife throwing skills Gianna had been unaware of. Good to know. Gianna continued to play with Hunter until Colton put him on the counter. “Which door?” She narrowed her eyes. She had been hoping to set up a base here, but if it wasn’t safe then they’d have to relocate. “Are we not alone here?”Â
It wasn’t until the girl from Twelve started talking that Colton turned his attention to her while he still pet the wolf pup. So she wasn’t too keen on exploring what lurks at the end of the hallway, well neither was he, at least for now. Maybe in the morning they can discover at last. “I’m a little bit roughed up from fighting the wolves, but I’m alive. I’m assuming you’re safe and unharmed?” he replied.Â
Colton nodded his head to the open door and to the dark hallway. “No, Hunter thought it was a bad idea. He warned me, didn’t you, boy?” he scratched the wolf pup’s head who wagged his tail in response. “I think we’re safe in this room, but we should keep our guard up just in case.”
Hiding in the Shadows || Alliance || Colton, Gianna & Mena
Mena, Gianna standing next to her, slowly pushed the door to the building (D) open. They could see they were not alone. The girls had began to reach for their weapons, when they saw who their company was. In front of them stood Colton with a wolf pup sitting on the floor beside him. Mena warily waited to see what Gianna would do. She decided that she didn’t particularly want to attempt to kill Colton, not just because she was outmatched with her current weapon being a stake. Mena, much like with Gianna, felt there might be a tactical advantage to working with the Colton, at least for the time being. She could feel herself become more cautious and wary of her fellow tributes. They knew each other after all. Mena prepared herself to run just incase.
Gianna-Sutton:
A wolf? Did Colton get a wolf puppy? How did he manage that?
She decides that, given the situation, an attack on her District Partner is not the best approach. Not only has she never trained with him, so knows little about his attack, but she also doesn’t trust her ally to not take advantage of the distraction/weakened position during said attack. Not logical.
“Hey, Colton.” She talks casually as she walks out where he can see her, as if they weren’t currently in a life-threatening situation. Gianna bends down and lets the pup sniff her hand. “Don’t worry, we’re not going to hurt you. If we were, you’d probably be dead by now. When did you get this little guy?”
As soon as they walked back to the empty Blacksmith Shop, Colton and Hunter were faced with two other threats. At least Gianna and the girl from Twelve were human. Colton had no idea what was waiting for him at the end of that dark hallway. If they were here to fight, then it seems that Colton would have to be bathed in blood a bit more. With the knife in one hand and a wooden stake at the other, Colton narrowed his eyes at his potential opponents.Â
His District Partner was the first to talk, Hunter walking over to sniff her hands before barking ferociously cutely. “Well hey there, Gianna,” he replied, smirking at Hunter’s reaction to the intruders. “Down, boy. Come here,” he commanded, clapping his hands for the wolf pup to return to his owner, still snarling at the two girls. “You, kill me? Hunter wouldn’t like that, and I should warn you, he’s pretty dangerous.” Colton winked.
A Bishop and a Pawn, they could easily checkmate him but wisely decided not to. But just to make sure they didn’t have any second thoughts, Colton let the knife in his hand soar through the air in between the two girls until it impaled a flying bat and pinned it against the door frame of the exit where Gianna and Mena stood. The tiny creature spread its wings wide and screeched until it finally died. “Nasty animals, wouldn’t want you to get bitten, now would we?” Colton walked over to them and retrieved his knife. “Also, there’s no candy in there, so don’t bother checking,” he stated, referring to what awaits them through the door and to the dark hallway with his thumb.
“I killed his mom and dad. I think he considers me his new papa or something,” he grinned and petting the wolf pup on its head. Colton picked Hunter up and sat with him on the dusty counter. “Do you guys wanna see what’s in that door for me?”
