With a tired sigh, Sans stepped out of his two story house, leaving Papyrus to do whatever it was he was doing. The skeleton walked out in what he slept in and checked the mailbox. It was full and overflowing, just how he liked.
Well, the pun master actually couldn’t care less but it bothered Papyrus. It was left full as a quiet internal battle between the two brothers and it made Sans smile. If either of them emptied it, they would lose.
Sans crunched through Snowdin, watching the monsters throughout the town.
Whimzy had been sitting on a bench, typing away on her laptop. The calming atmosphere of the snowy town kept her at peace while doing so, knowing everything else in said laptop was either work-related or dark thoughts. It wasnt often she came to snowdin and stayed out in the open.
As she typed, she mumbled the words, not even noticing the comical skeleton who was about to pass by her.
Though she did not notice, Sans most definitely did. Her intense typing and curious muttering could have caught anyone walking near.
The skeleton was on his way to a Sentry Station, but concluding a break wouldn’t be too debatable or troublesome.
Sans decided to join the girl on the bench.
[ Do you like to use laptops? cos u seem like ur just my type ;D ]
Her typing seemed to slow a bit after she had reached the end of her report on the day. After a few second she came to a stop, saved her files, and closed the laptop.
“Whew, thats finally done.”
She looked up from her spot, and saw the skeleton next to her, and almost screamed.
Sans remained still, staring calmly at the snow on the ground. Her reaction was noted and the skeleton slowly sat up, leaning back into the bench. “
“Uh, Hi.”
She tilted her head, calming down.
“How long have you been there?”
“A couple’a minutes. You look like you’ve been here for hours.” The skeleton eyed her laptop.
Hey, Sans. I'm gonna confess something to you: One time I lost to Mettaton, and relative of mine just haaad to say he's too meta for me.

(tryingmymost here) Papyrus went about his business in the kitchen, which consisted of almost burning down the house from his failed attempts at making spaghetti. But if Pap had learned anything from Frisk, it was to stay determined no matter what.
“Hey, bro, is that you?” Sans, in a most lenient state, walked into the kitchen. Aiming his direction to the stove (and then Papyrus), the skeleton looked less than shocked. “Wowie there is a huge mess in here. How’d you get those noodles up on the ceiling? That’s practically impastable.”
Papyrus, gritting his teeth at Sans’ pun but choosing not to comment on it, turned gestured proudly toward the stove. “UNDYNE TAUGHT ME A NEW STRATEGY YESTERDAY IN THE FINE ART OF PASTA MAKING, SO I DECIDED TO PRACTICE IT FOR MYSELF!” However, glancing around, even Papyrus had to admit that something had gone wrong somewhere down the line. He definitely knew that spaghetti didn’t belong on the ceiling, at least. His pose fell and he rubbed the back of his skull awkwardly. “UM…I SUPPOSE THAT IT IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS.” This demeanor didn’t last long though, as almost immediately after he said this Papyrus straightened and declared, “HOWEVER! AS THE HUMAN SO OFTEN IS, I AM DETERMINED! AND I MOST DEFINITELY WILL NOT GIVE UP!”
“Ah yes, very good. I do, however, suggest you scrape that off the ceiling before it falls and hits your head.” The short skeleton snickered and leaned against the door frame. “What strategy did Undyne possibly suggest to result in this spaghetti spectacular?”
Papyrus beamed proudly and replied, “UNDYNE TAUGHT ME THAT ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO TELL IF THE SPAGHETTI IS FINISHED IS TO FLING IT AGAINST THE WALL AS HARD AS YOU CAN! IF THE NOODLES STICK, THEN THEY’RE DONE! IF NOT, THEN THEY STILL REQUIRE A BIT OF TIME.” Papyrus looked up at the spaghetti hanging above him. “ALTHOUGH, HER METHODS WERE A BIT MORE…EXTREME THAN THIS. I ATTEMPTED TO REPLICATE THEM, BUT ALAS…”
“Hey now, brother, I think it’s best if you just learn your own methods of cooking, yknow? Build some new traditions…some you can clean up easily and some you can pass down. You catchin’ what I’m throwing?”
Papyrus thought over his brother’s advise for a moment before replying, “I SUPPOSE YOU COULD BE RIGHT. HOWEVER, I WISH TO LEARN FROM THE VERY BEST BEFORE I DECIDE HOW I SHALL DEVELOP MY OWN STYLE.” He turned around and began cleaning up the mess that was currently strewn across the kitchen. He glanced over his shoulder while doing so and gave Sans a scolding expression. “WAIT, SHOULDN’T YOU BE AT WORK?”
"Nah, bro, I'm on break. Just woke up from a nap, actually." Sans shifted, starting to step out of the doorframe. "Have you finished your puzzles for the day?" The skeleton attempted switch the topics on Papyrus.

Do I Snow you? || Siri & Sans
Like everyone else, she had fell. It was kind of ironic she should wind up here, a place she should fit in more, and look like the thing they disliked most of the time. Unlike most others, she had no mission or desire to leave the underground. Sure, attacks were pretty regular in her ventures, but she couldn’t say that it was unwarranted. Usually she could talk her way out of things, especially after showing them human wasn’t all of her visage.
Most of Snowdin was friendly at least, so she had decided to stick around for a time and figure out what to do next. Of course, there was one problem. Winter was her enemy in her human form, and only fun as a dog.
So here she was, a little black wolf with orange paws, darting through the snow to play. There was no worry of being attacked, she currently no longer looked like a red-headed human girl. Really she was sure that if anyone saw her she just looked goofy. Taking a running leap, Sirilene landed in a snow drift, bounced in it twice, then lowered her head to the ground and gave a playful yip to no-one. All the while her tail wagged a mile a minute, even when she suddenly dropped down and rolled over in it. Her actions left her coated in white, eyes a brilliant green which matched her mood, as her eye color always did.
After a bit of running around, she flopped down, panting, wanting to calm down and cool off before returning to her human form.
Though she appeared to be a wild forest dog, almost everything she did suggested a pet…Unless you paid a particular attention to the little things which gave away her human intelligence. There was also the backpack on her back, which was just a little too suspicious.

Sans paced through the snow. It’d been a while since he’d been at his station, but sometimes he felt the need for a break. Though lazy, the skeleton knew taking a good walk was good for him. Mentally and physically.
The crunching of the snow echoed through the ever-silent forest. This serenity of snowy landscape came to a faltering halt as quiet yips following the crunching.
Sans stopped to hear the soft noises louder. It triggered his thought and interest. The pun master now sought out the yelping creature. Who knew what he’d find?
In his peeking interest, the skeleton came across the settlement of snow drifts. In the snowdrift rolled the rather cute, playful pup. Sans deducted it must’ve been a regular monster to have a small pack on their back.
He approached Siri, with an outstretched hand to gain it’s attention. “What are you doing out here?” Sans asked, not really expecting a reply.
Sound of approach made the creature’s fluffy head whip around in concern, worried about hostiles. Realizing she wouldn’t appear as a threat, the wolf made no real movement except to shift her weight around and perk up her ears.
Crunch.
Crunch.
Crunch.
Her tail made a snow angel of its own as her cheery disposition continued, knowing that she was definitely going to be cold soon but not caring.
Along the path emerged a skeleton dressed in blue, seeming just as curious about her as she now was about him. He wasn’t very tall, and gave off a relaxed type of personality, not that she expected he was a pushover. Such a question simply made her shake out her fur and stand up, sitting in front of him and tilting her head slightly as dogs do when spoken to. Unable to speak, and not trusting enough to change back, she answered his question by raising her right paw and using it to rub her snout, which she imagined was about as unclear as it got. Following the action, another small bark escaped and her tail picked up in speed.
Without warning, the green in her eyes was suddenly eaten away. From under her pupils, a light grey spilled like ink and gobbled up every trace of the color that had been there beforehand. Current Mood: Inquisitive, practically spelled out if one payed close enough attention or knew her long enough. For now, it probably just looked strange, sporadic, and overall bizarre.
The lazy skeleton watched carefully at her excited wagging. Sans had seen dogs before, sure, but this was a most curious case. A curious case with fully drowned his attention.
Pulling his hand away, as he noted Siri would not respond to it, Sans tilted his skull questioningly, still curious about her whereabouts.
The drawling smog pooling from her eyes made the skeleton uncomfortable. Though, not uncomfortable enough to leave, he remained. Sans could most definitely describe his sights strange, sporadic, and overall bizarre.
A few more times he tried to speak to her. Asking her questions such as “how’d you do that?” or “where are you from?”.
After a few minutes of listening to the other try to get answers, Siri couldn’t help herself. He was making a genuine effort to learn after all. Plus there was a bonus, he hadn’t tried to pet her immediately. It wasn’t like she would of shaken his hand off, but if she was being honest, petting from new people was uncomfortable.
Almost like giving up an act, her tail stopped wagging, and she stood. Another shake from her fur, and then she reach out a paw to place on his foot, a simple but clear message.
Stay.
Backing up quite a bit of distance, Sirilene allowed herself to shift back to her human form, assuming one would use the word human for a girl with two different shapes. Expecting a freak out, the girl gave a small grimace, peeking out from hair which fell down to her knees in length, a fiery red in color that contrasted with the white snowflakes stuck in it. However, before that could happen, she did raise her hands in surrender, to show she didn’t aim to hurt.
At least she could answer the questions now. “They…change with my mood….and I came from that way.” She said, pointing in a direction which only could of meant that she had fell and wandered out of the big door. Perhaps she owed a bit more explanation. Like why she was goofing around in the snow. “I…um…It seemed that I got attacked less that way. Plus it was warmer to have fur than just skin. ”
It seemed she was expecting a bunch of chaos and was prepared to run.
Sans caught on to her order rather quickly. He was good at catching on to things.
The skeleton watched in a blatant awe at her transformation. It struck his attention and held to it, keeping the pun master from looking away. Sans outstretched a hand to her, taking a very small step. He noticed her wariness and wanted to dismiss it as quick as possible. He meant no harm to her.
The skeleton became almost entranced by her bright waves of hair. As a matter of fact, he was entranced by her entire appearance. It was much different than most of what he’d ever seen.
Listening to her explanation, and watching her point led the skeleton to a quick conclusion. Now he knew where she was from and it made a bit more sense. Not much, but a bit.
“I see…” Sans tried to take a step towards her, hoping she wouldn’t flinch away. “Looks like you’ve had a ruff morning.”
Odd as it was, here her safe zone seemed to be quite the opposite. Instead of blending in with her main form, it was now a threat. Instead of being ostracized for changing forms, it was welcome and even interesting here. One way or another it didn’t look like she would ever fit in one place entirely.
Nervous habit had the girl pulling the long locks from behind her into a bundle and tying it up as is protocol when being prepared. Thankfully the other didn’t seem…malicious. Now he seemed more interested than ever, which she wasn’t sure yet whether or not that was good.
Not feeling any hostility, Siri didn’t mind letting him step closer but old habits die hard in the sense she did check his movements carefully. Caught off guard by the pun, she couldn’t help but laugh, a cute little sound muffled by her hands covering her mouth. “Yeah, I guess you could say that. ”
When she dropped her hands finally, no longer gesturing in surrender or having them ready to protect her own skin, she clasped them together in front of her. “Nobody told me I was barking up the wrong tree walking around like this.” It was an attempt at returning the humor, offering friendship of a sort.
Though curiosity never truly killed more than a cat, the skeleton couldn’t help but wish to move closer and learn more. Sans watched softly as his joked seemed to lighten her up, and that pleased him.
Sans smiled, in the most gentle and relaxed of ways, at her cute laugh. It brought him to wonder more about how she’d got here.
Now, he knew just about everybody in town and he wouldn’t settle for nothing below his standards (low, though they were).

Arial was in Snowdin again. She had just come from Hotlands and decided to COOL down…Not really in the mood for reading a book, doing a puzzle or playing her guitar. She just walked through the little town, minding her own business. She found herself at the sentry station, where that shortie mc shortson skeleton worked or should I say napped? He was pretty sleeping his shift entire away! Strolling over, Arial knocked on the desk twice.
* Knock knock!
Sans rested for his shift at the sentry station. Papyrus was busying himself doing something “exciting” on the other side of Snowdin and that permitted Sans to a well-deserved rest…even if he didn’t do much that day anyway. The big boned skeleton’s skull pulled up in a relaxed motion at the knocking. “Hmmmmm?”
* Hey, lazy bones. Shouldn’t ya be on the watch fer those humans that could end up here? Arial looked at the other. She knew of him, but never really personally talked to the guy. * What if one comes and slips right in the town?
Sans whittled the thought for a moment. “Well then I guess I’ll be in trouble.” Sans rested on his hand. “No matter how great my brother is he hasn’t quite figured out that humans don’t come ‘round that often. Let alone to this exact spot. Tickle my funny bone if I’m wrong but not much can be helped even so.” The skeleton smiled softly, trying to place a name with a face.
* That’s true, humans don’t really come to the underground a lot…Not on purpose, anyways. Leaning her side on the sentry station, she thought she may as well introduce who she was! He could be a new friend for all she knows. Returning a smile back, she introduced herself.
* Names Arial, by the way! Nice to meet ya, sleepyhead.
Sans noticed how rudely he sat, slouched across the counter. Sitting up sharply, the skeleton held out a hand to Arial. “Please to meet you. I’m Sans, authorized puzzle maker in Snowdin.” He gave her a cheesy smile, though his face normally had that expression, to insinuate necessity for laughter.
