“Sunrise Salut”

This is actually something I banged out a few days ago b/c I wanted to create something for the Target Cover generator/creator (https://metebelis2.com/cover)

Besides the Twelfth Doctor, River is easily my favorite characters in the whole of Doctor Who. Her story is so beautifully tragic, I was doomed to be enamored with her from the start (and it didn’t help that Alex Kingston’s acting made me fall instantly in love with her). She became someone that I felt really connected to in terms of her (to quote an idiot) “King of Okay” attitude, how she feels like she has to be the strongest person in the room in order to physically and emotionally protect those she loves. THoRS is precisely one of my favorite eps for this reason, because seeing that resolve crack in the restaurant scene was an incredible moment of catharsis for her character. I’d like to think she overcame a lot of this mindset by the end of those 24 years.

Also, you love to see a criminal with credentials, a thief with a thesis, a threat with a doctorate, a killer that still has problems with printers, a professor that goes pewpew, an archaeologist that’s super pissed (Okay, I’m done)

This is a sketch I did a couple weeks ago of two of my OCs, 12 (dragon boy) and Riven (tiefling boy). 12 is my current DnD character and Riven is his husband (who is maybe dead, who knows?)!

During this past semester, in my digital foundations course, we did tapeliftings that had to be digitally altered and these are my two favorites! They are both original characters (Dorian and Rict) that I hope to draw more of in the future!

I ended up learning a lot about Photoshop (as well as the program that I use now) and really want to do more stuff like this

I’ve been working on these for the past couple days, so I thought I’d share them with you all! I got the idea and started making them on Friday and finished them earlier today. I’ve been in a bit of a slump, so having something with a clear vision to work on was SUPER good for me.

I’d really like to make a full deck someday (hopefully sometime next year), but I just have these for now.
