Riv is my lovely little aquatic hybrid

He's half-siren on his mother's side, 1/4 naiad and 1/4 human on his father's side

It's thanks to that incredibly unique blend of traits that he's a highly valuable item on the black market

Riven was raised by his mother within her siren pod and she very proudly and determinedly defended her strange little son if any of the other sirens messed with him

Some fisherman from the Hunter's Guild found and captured his pod and they were all put on the black market. Riv was separated from his mother and as a result he went pretty feral and would bite and shriek at anyone who came close and tried multiple times to escape and swim away from his captors which led to them cutting off one of his tail fins to prevent him from escaping

He caught the interest of Guildmaster Dorian Blackwood, who bought him and made surprisingly quick work of training the defiance out of Riv by teaching him how much easier things would be if he just did what he was told and didn't struggle or cry when black market buyers took his scales, blood, or corals to sell.

Riv absolutely adores Dorian because the man taught him how to speak Basic better and he gives him treats and "educates" him, which makes him much nicer than anyone else he's been around since being in the Market. When Dorian is happy with him, he's kind and gives Riv attention and it's easy to just do what he's told because then it's over quickly and he might get a treat afterwards!

He's completely fine don't worry about him >:3

Riven the hedgehog! Child of Fleetway and Shadow by accident, poor kid.. He was too dangerous to leave, so he was locked up.. Too bad he got the powers of both Fleetway and Shadow..
