less fun answer: once she hit her teenage years Flemeth did an about face and taught her makeup, since there's the implications that Morrigan is expected to at some point pick up her mother's old tradition of luring in, seducing, and then killing men

more fun answer: Morrigan starts the game NOT knowing much about makeup but after you recruit Leliana (<-Orlesian, and also was a bard, way more believable to wear makeup every day), she picks up on how fascinated Morrigan is by the process (as with many things about 'civilization'), and offers to do hers in the morning too. obviously Morrigan huffily says no for a while but eventually gives in and it becomes part of her daily routine too

Everytime I see something gay in a tv show and I say to myself ‘wow that might be the gayest thing thats ever happened on tv!’ I have to remind myself that the actual gayest thing that has ever happened on television was the time on Xena Warrior Princess that Xena got Sappho to write Gabrielle a poem for her birthday and they used Sappho’s actual poem.

Which means that in the Xena universe, one of Sappho’s most famous remaining poems was one dedicated to Gabrielle from Xena.

And that’s pretty fucking gay.
