Arthur’s eyes glanced over at the bag that she was showing him as he slowly pulled his hands back and put them down to his sides. Arthur couldn’t help the slight smile that tugged at the corner of his lips and for a moment he was reminded of what he was fighting for again. For her. For their boys. For their future. Arthur took the bag and smiled. He could see Charlie trying to sneak in every candy that he could find in their home. He chuckled, “Of course he did. Well, I appreciate that considering I know how much he loves his sweets.” He leaned forward and kissed her forehead, “I think we’ve done as much as we can.. why don’t we head home?”

♕ —- Arthur’s smile-- though small-- warmed her through like it always had done since she first met him. And it was the exact thing that she needed to see that day. Something familiar. Something that brought her back home. Which sounded like the perfect place to go when he suggested it. To be with him and their boys perfectly safe from the outside world. “Let’s go,” she agreed and she held out her hand for him to take. “You do owe Charlie another chapter of Fantastic Beasts,” she commented. “He’s been trying very hard to be patient.”
The ice cream shop got the brunt of it, he knew that. The body, the torn curtains, broken glass, and ice cream melted and making a sticky mess now. Stolas blinked, raising a brow, “Oh, yes, I’m fine.” he said with a small smile. It wasn’t a complete lie. Granted he did share some of the pain many others had. It wasn’t like he was completely heartless. Stolas just struggled with wording it but showing, showing was different. “It’s going to take a bit to remake that ice cream, isn’t it? Do we know how Florean is handling it?”
»
♕ —- Molly simply nodded. She had made ice cream herself a time or two for the boys, and without magic, it wasn’t exactly an easy venture. She couldn’t even imagine what it would be like for Florean to make up for all the stock that he had lost. “Not well,” she replied as she thought back to the last time she had seen the ice cream maker that day. “I wouldn’t be either if my whole life was destroyed by a fight that I’m not even involved in.” She knew fight was too broad of a term but it was the one she was going to stick with for now. “I’m sure he’ll be back on his feet. I can’t imagine the Alley without his ice cream.”

♕ —- Molly didn’t mind taking on extra responsibilities. If there was a job to be done, she was going to do it even if it wasn’t her responsibility. There were a lot of people suffering from accidental ailments and so little healers to go around. And there seemed to be more children running around that only made her ache for her own. Kneeling down in front of the other, the midwife gave them a pleasant smile before she held up the lollipop that she had hidden in her pocket. “It’s all yours if you tell me what’s wrong,” she said half jokingly. “I can try my best to get you out here as fast as possible.”
it wasn’t unusual for rosmerta to get hit on by drunk people. it came with the territory, being one of the only female barmaids that worked at the three broomsticks. she had taken over her father’s business long enough ago that she knew how to handle herself with drunk people. however, she quite enjoyed flirting back, just to see the reaction she could get and how long it would take for them to ask her back to their rooms.
it was a slow night that night, so she walked over the lone person sitting at the bar. she leaned against the bar, resting her elbows against the wood. she struck up a conversation, just to keep herself from getting bored until more people came in. it didn’t take long for roz to notice the person staring at her chest. “it’s rude to stare, honey.” she smugly smiled when the person sheepishly looked up at her. she grabbed the empty glass in front of them and went to wash it, leaving the person to sit in embarrassment for a little bit.

♕ —- It was very rare for Molly to have a late shift at St. Mungo’s now that she had the boys to worry about. However, they were feeling a little short staffed and it seemed there was a bit of a baby boom in her ward. With all things considering, it was understandable. But it left the red head a bit tired and if she was perfectly honest, in need of a drink and quick bite to eat before she made her way home. Home to hopefully sleeping toddlers.
♕ —- Carefully, she stepped into the pub, and the first thing she noticed was the lone patron as well as the bartender keeping watch. “Hello, Rosmerta,” she said pleasantly enough as she made her way to the opposite end of the bar to take a seat. “Do you have any cornish pasties left,” she asked curiously as she leaned her forearms against the bar top and smiled up at the other. “Long night?”
Arthur turned around to focus on her now. He couldn’t help but look at his wife a little longer than most other times. He stepped forward and was thankful that she was safe and that she was here with him. Moments like this reminded him to appreciate the people in life. Hug them a little longer and just be thankful to have another day with them. Molly and their two boys were the most important thing in Arthur’s life right now and that was why he was so sad. To know that his boys might have to grow up in a world like this? One so hateful. Arthur knew he needed to do something to make things better.. but what? He reached up and gently cupped her face in his hands. His thumbs ran over her cheeks in a gentle touch. “I don’t mean to worry you. We’ve definitely seen better days.. but things feel a little less heavy with you here now.”
»
♕ —- Molly could see the worry on his features. It was the same worry that she had in her own heart: the boys. Gently, she reached up to rest one of her hands on top of his that held her face and held up the paper sack that she had brought with her. “We definitely have had better days but we’re okay and the boys okay, and they wanted to make sure you had something to eat. They helped me make it.” She paused and then added, “well, Bill helped, Charlie just tried to sneak you all the sweets that he could find.” She glanced around them before she looked to him once more. “Do you want some help?”
How was Andromeda supposed to bring children into the world when catastrophes continued to happen? She couldn’t help but mourn the eighteen year old Muggleborn - he had so much life in him before the wickedness took him away. It was enough to make her cry, but she was strong enough to stop herself before tears had the upper-hand advantage. Andromeda gave a small smile in return before turning her back towards the destroyed parlour - out of sight, out of mind. “Perfect, Leaky Cauldron? We can even go for something stronger, if you’d like.” But maybe liquor was the opposite of what they’d need, they needed to be functioning in case something like this happened again.
»
♕ —- Molly studied Andromeda with a tilt of her head and tried to give her a comforting smile. “Are you alright,” Molly asked softly and she held out her arm for Andromeda to take. “The Leaky Cauldron sounds like a perfect idea,” she nodded before she let out a soft chuckle. “Normally, I wouldn’t agree to any sort of hard drinking this early in the day but I think we deserve it.” And her boys were with her aunt so she didn’t have to worry about that.

Andromeda could not remove her dismayed gaze from the remains of the beloved ice cream parlour. Between arguments with her parents, spontaneous dates, and just needing the comfort during stressful times, Andromeda greatly enjoyed Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour, and was quite upset that it laid destroyed on the ground. If she stood here for too long, she figured that she would start crying out of pure frustration, so she turned towards the person next to her with a forced smile. “Would you like to brighten the mood and get a Butterbeer or something else from The Leaky Cauldron?” Anything to get her mind off of both Florean Fortescue’s and Madam Malkin’s - all this destroying is only to force people into a state of fear.
»
♕ —- Molly knew that she was only torturing herself by putting herself in Diagon Alley but deep down, she wanted to help make it a place that she would feel comfortable to bring the boys to. She knew that if she hid at her home, she was letting the people who caused this destruction win and she couldn’t live with that. She glanced over when she heard the younger witch and she pressed her lips to a small smile. “I can never say no to a butterbeer,” she said with a nod. “Especially with a friend.”

Arthur couldn’t believe it. He was just here. Not that long ago. He kept staring at the broken glass and wondering what prompted people to do this. He would never understand. There was an anger in his chest that he couldn’t explain. This felt like a message. This felt like they were warning them. Something had to be done. He knew the Aurors were working on it but.. it didn’t feel like that was enough. He wasn’t paying attention that someone was calling his name. Arthur looked over his shoulder, “Sorry.. did you say something?”
»
♕ —- Molly had noticed him before he had her. He looked lost in thought but she honestly couldn’t blame him. The wreckage of the wizard street was enough to knock the wind out of anyone and they both knew the reason behind it. When Arthur looked at her, all she wanted to do was remove the sad expression he had. She wanted his smile back. She stepped closer and reached for his hand. “Just checking in on you,” she murmured before she leaned over and pressed a kiss to his shoulder. “Helping here instead of going to the office,” she asked softly as she looked up at him.

He watched the way everyone was holding back tears and cleaning up what had happened the night before. For anyone in the DE other than him it probably would have been amusing. After all, he wasn’t a part of the organization on his own free will. His father must be ecstatic about it. About the wave of fear and hurt. But he couldn’t feel anything.
Stolas glanced over the wreckage himself. This isn’t even the half of what they were capable of and he knew that. It could have been a lot worse. He let out a sigh knowing well enough he had to keep up image and help clean up. The male pushed himself forwards, deeper into the mess of things. He tapped someone on the shoulder, “pardon, is there anyone needing help clean up, do you know?”

♕ —- Molly had never liked sitting idle when there were things to be done or people to help. And the ministry seemed to need all the help that they could get with the mess that was Diagon Alley. A mess-- a death-- that she was certain could have been prevented but she refused to dwell on that for too long. She didn’t want to think of the tragedy that happened that night, she knew very well she would stop being able to function all together if she thought about it too long.
♕ —- There was a tap on her shoulder and she turned to look at the young man. “Oh, you can help with the ice scream shop. Poor Florean... it’s a complete disaster,” she offered to him with a gentle smile. “Are you alright?”
