Heeey, how have you been?
i’ve been very good actually, just finished sending in all my applications for art school and now i’m taking some time off hanging out with a good friend in berlin ... it’s literally the first time in ages for me to only focus on what is happening right now, i mean, i’m feeling amazingly stable and just generally on good terms with the world and the people that live on it .. like, when i think of a negative thought i just out-do it with believing there is no reason to have that negative thought and i am constantly confronted with interesting topics like social media or self-exploitation, like, that is what i think about a lot lately and also my behavior towards social media and the way i express myself and put my personality out to the world .. i have that plan that once i get home there is gonna be this major shift in my life and i am going to stick to my plans and have new projects going on and just mainly concentrate on creation and expression
so i guess i am happy right now
Detroit in Brooklyn - Erik Madigan Heck’s club kids stripped bare
“In 1997 Dutch video artist Rineke Dijkstra captured after-hours revelers at The Buzz Club in Liverpool, England, and Mysteryworld of Zaandam, Netherlands. Displacing club-goers by taking them out of their dancefloor comfort zone and photographing them in a white cube, Dijkstra was renowned for her revealing, anthropological approach in her portraits of isolated social groups, from families at the beach to soldiers in the military.
For a 21st-century reimagining of Dijkstra’s project, photographer and director Erik Madigan Heck enlisted Brooklyn’s most vibrant club kids and captured them dancing to Mike Dehnert’s tech house classic “Detroit Switch Back to City” – a track that Heck had heard at Berlin’s renowned Berghain club.”

Do we ever really grow up?
well in terms of that we gain experience and thus get more of a feeling how to control our emotions and how to act generally, in a way everyone “grows up”, then again isn’t it entirely up to how one defines “growing up”? i personally think a lot of people grow up in the sense that they learn life isn’t either enduring sadness nor on-going content, it’s like, people learn that it’s both and everything and kinda stressful at times and out of these people, some become these resigned and cynical personalities which i find kinda off-puting and sad. but no one really becomes this “wise and knowing” person, everyone has these moments and these situations where all they’d want to do is curl up beside their parents and just let them handle it .. eventually, everyone kinda figures it in their own way.
Go out and do something. It isn’t your room that’s a prison, it’s yourself.
