Amethyst grasped the red gem’s hand and began walking out of the temple. She spotted the Big Donut and her eyes lit up in excitement.  “C’mon Navy let’s go here first! They have the best snacks!” She grinned running inside the shop.  “Their donuts are so good! Ya gotta try one!” She order them a few donuts and handed her the pink frosted one with rainbow sprinkles.

Navy took a few moments to look at the donut Amethyst had handed her before dragging her fingers through the icing. Then she looked at Amethyst as she just shoved one in her mouth whole. Navy did the same.  It wasn’t bad and it was possibly her favorite thing so far but it wasn’t great. Navy scratched her face even as she felt that leave a smear of icing on her face. “I liked that more than the last thing!”

“...not here.” She was trying not to panic about that.

“Oh my goodness Navy they’re so beautiful!” She grinned her fingertips caressing the petals. She picked some red roses and began twisting the stems together to make a flower crown. It wasn’t quite as nice as Navy;s but it was still very pretty. Once she was done she placed the crown on the Ruby’s head. “I hope you like it.” 

Navy reached up to touch the flower crown on her head. She hadn’t gotten a very good look at it but she still smiled at Blue. “I love it. It’s wonderful.” Blue was already faster than Navy at this but that was alright. “You can make another one if you want for whoever you want!” Navy had made them for others several times over.

Amethyst took a handful of strawberries and shoved them into her mouth. She hummed happily and munched on them.  “That’s cause you’re supposed to rip off the green parts. You’re not supposed to eat em. Well I do but that’s just cause I eat everything. Maybe we should try something else.” She gulped them down.  “Let’s go to the boardwalk. They got tons of food over there.”

Navy quietly said, “Oh.” She’d have to try them without the leafy thing at some point but Amethyst was already moving on. Navy wasn’t sure what a boardwalk was but she nodded anyways. This was pretty fun. She was pretty neutral on the eating thing but she liked hanging out with Amethyst.

“Oh yes I’d love to be able to wear flowers around my head! How did you two do it?” She scooped a bunch of flowers giving them to Navy.  “We can use these. Blue Rose’s and daisies are my favorite.”

“You can wear them around your neck or wrist or ankles too if you want to, but i like the “crowns” the most. Those are the ones that go on your head.” Navy took the flowers and looked behind her to make sure she wouldn’t be crushing any flowers when she sat. Then she sat and put the flowers in her lap. She picked up two and knotted one stem around the other. She looked up at Blue and smiled. “It’s pretty simple.”

Blue smiled at the sight of the daises. She ran towards them and inhaled their beautiful scent. She sighed contently plucking a few from the ground. She gently placed one in Navy’s hair.   “I hope you like it.”

Navy was pulled behind Blue when Blue ran for the flowers. Navy raised her free hand to touch the flower Blue had placed in her hair. She smiled at Blue. “I love it.” She looked around before looking back at Blue. “Do you want me to show you what Steven showed me?”

The purple gem laughed loudly. Guess she was kinda picky with this stuff. She just hoped she wasn’t like Pearl. She really wanted to have someone to snack with besides Steven.  “I told ya man never bit ice cream.” She open the fridge and took out a container of strawberries.  “Try these. They’re like the ice cream only not as cold.”

Navy smiled at Amethyst and her laughter. She nodded and said, “I know.” Navy took the strawberries and hesitated before grabbing one and putting it in her mouth. She waited until she had chewed and swallowed it this time before replying. “I don’t like the leafy thing on it.” She felt bad for being picky but Amethyst didn’t seem to mind.

Amethyst grabbed her hand and walked her into the temple. She got some Strawberry ice cream from outta the freezer and gave her a couple scoops on a waffle cone. She grinned handing it to her.  “Ya don’t chew it like other foods. Just lick it until it’s gone.”

Amethyst told her to not chew it but she bit into it as soon as it was handed to her anyways. She recoiled from the cold and almost dropped the cone in the process. After she had recovered she licked it. It was still cold but not as bad. The taste was good but Navy didn’t really like cold. She offered it to Amethyst. “I like the taste but I don’t like the cold.”

She smiled softly at the affection.  “No go ahead. I’m used to following anyway.”

“Me too.” Navy preferred to follow but there wasn’t any need to argue over who led this time and Navy could do it. She started to gently tug Blue towards the fields.

“That’s alright dude. There’s like a billion different foods out there you’re bound to like atleast one.” She thought for a moment.  “Let’s try ice cream! Everybody loves ice cream! It’s one of the best treats Earth has to offer!”

Navy closed her mouth and swallowed the half chewed chips before smiling at Amethyst. She had no idea what ice cream was but she still nodded. “Okay! Let’s try ice cream!”
