for those of you who don’t know, TODAY, ON NOV. 9 2020, armenian pm nikol pashinyan signed an order to give away 60% of artsakh to azerbaijan, who have committed war crimes and have spread false propaganda against armenians. i have no doubt in my mind pashinyan was bullied into handing over our righteous land, but it truly breaks my heart. over 1500 innocent soldiers and civilians were killed to essentially only have the land handed over. and azerbaijan will face absolutely NO REPARATIONS for the crimes they’ve committed. we say death or freedom, but where is our freedom?

Why the fuck is the NYT using this ‘he-said-she-said’ bullshit here? The Turks committed a literal fucking genocide, and their official government policy is Armenian Genocide denial. This is not disputed by historians.

I guess they can’t just say “Turkey and Azerbaijan teamed up in a war against Armenia, who the Turks literally tried to eradicate 100 years ago,” but at least say the emotionless “impartial” version of that instead of the impartial version of “the Armenians are scared because they think the Turks didn’t apologize enough for a few war crimes.”
