where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search of our better selves
AKA this is a big ol’ request for a bunch of fools related to my girl Georgia here. (Face of Ruth Negga ♥) The faces below are suggestions, and I am certainly open to others, although with Georgia’s little brother, even as half-siblings, they should look a little bit related. If you’re interested in any of these characters, feel free to contact me!
Georgia’s younger half-brother, Kit and Georgia actually grew up fairly close, for all that they didn’t grow up in the same house. I imagine that in their younger years, things were a little weird between them; their dad left her mom for Kit’s mom, and Georgia was sort of old enough to be a little bit aware of that fact.
Any young awkwardness, though, has gone away over the years. The two are as thick as thieves, and even when things were strange between them–childish jealousy and resentment and all that jazz–Georgia was fairly protective over her baby brother. Even as adulthood saw them go their separate ways over the years, they still managed to keep in touch. It was when Georgia was visiting Kit that things went left for the world, and they’ve stuck together–and with their little group–ever since.
Personality-wise, I’d pin him as being something of a quiet person; he lets Georgia do all the talking when they come across other people. He’s wary of newcomers at best, considering past experience has taught him that caution is definitely a good thing. He trusts his sister, though, even if sometimes he feels like she does things that she shouldn’t do, or that she normally wouldn’t do. He’s her conscience, in a way; he calls her out when she’s being ridiculous or not being who he knows she really is, and she generally listens to him. They’ve stuck together through thick and thin, and that isn’t about to change any time soon.
Anything else is pretty wide open, although history-wise, I’d suggest getting in touch since his past is pretty closely tied with Georgia’s. ♥
Imogen, on the other hand, is something of an anomaly; she’s not related to anyone in the group, although the general consensus is that she’s been adopted by them. (Although, as far as Georgia’s concerned, Kit’s taken a bit of a shine to Imogen in more than just a friendly way. She’s not sure how she feels about that.) Imogen, similar to Kit, is quiet; but where he’s quiet because he’s naturally introverted, Imogen is quiet because she learned to be.
She was on her own for quite some time before Georgia & Co. came across her, and it took a long time and a lot of coaxing to get her to stick around. She spent a lot of time just vanishing from the group, just to pop up again in the same neighborhood, clearly having been following them even though she kept acting like she didn’t want anything to do with them. I also imagine that she tends to follow Georgia’s lead in a lot of different ways, even though more often than not, she really shouldn’t.
Her history is up to you, as is much of her personality and anything else that hasn’t already been mentioned!
Milo here is. Boy, he’s complicated. He and Georgia have been dancing around each other since they met, caught up in the age old will they won’t they that tends to be the bane of any reasonable person’s existence. More often than not, they seem like they will; but then other things get in the way–for instance, the apocalypse–and they just never quite manage to make it work. They want it to, though; Milo tends to ground Georgia in a way that she needs, and she’s open and honest with him in a way that she can’t be with the others. It works the other direction as well, and the two of them were close friends well before there were any stirrings of a romantic nature.
Where Georgia goes in guns blazing and sort of hoping for the best, Milo is a meticulous planner. In some ways, they seem complete opposites; he doesn’t make a lot of jokes (at least not obvious ones), while Georgia tends to make as many as she can. But his moods are just as mercurial as hers are, and even in spite of their very rare blow-ups, they never drift too far apart from one another. Physically or otherwise.
