Day 5 of @a-witch-named-crowâs Tarot Study: THE FOOL

The skeletonâs free arm is outstretched, and a butterfly radiating light rests on a finger.
This card represents a flood of energy, whether itâs at the beginning or end of your journey. This road youâre on can be an escape or freedom. Regardless, itâs illuminated by your intuition. This card can also bring baggage like impulsiveness, irrationality, and the flightiness of a butterfly. The Fool advises you to focus on your goals and travel lightly. Leave some âbaggageâ behind if you can, so you can better focus your energy on the road ahead.
So, I forgot that @a-witch-named-crow started their tarot challenge last week. I donât really have the time or spoons to do individual posts for each card, so I decided to combine all the Aces together into one post.
For the challenge, Iâm using my preferred deck: Santa Muerte Tarot Deck (website here). I couldnât find any photos of the cards online, so Iâm not going to post photos of the cards. Iâm just going to include brief descriptions of what the cards look like. I'm pulling all my interpretations from the guide book that comes with the deck and the advice that comes with each card description. Each suit is described as this:
CUPS - Water - Emotional Center - Good and bad feelings and memories, fertility.
WANDS - Fire - Creative Center - Desire, instinct, will, imagination.
PENTACLES - Earth - Material Center - Concrete, physical things, i.e. money, home, health, role in world.
SWORDS - Air - Intellectual Center - Rationality, language and communication, ideas, knowledge.
ACE - New beginnings and starts, potential, source, stimulus.
ACE OF CUPS - A silver cup with a skeletal face with hearts for eyes. It's outside in the rain, surrounded by insects and a frog, and rainwater fills the cup. It represents receptiveness, abundance, potential for growth and fulfilled actions. This card advises you're about to start a new phase or creativity and change.
ACE OF WANDS - A red skull with red flowers groing from the eyes. A red stalk with a large red leaf blooms from the top of the skull. This card invokes a sense of energy and vitality, a new beginning or birth. It's a good time to focus all your energies onto a new project or venture.
ACE OF PENTACLES - A moss-covered skull saved from the same gray rock it's resting on; behind it is a dark jungle drawn in shades of black and green. Gold coins spill from the skull's open mouth. This card represents everything material, from our body to our economic reources, and it brings a sense of happiness and triumph. It also advises us to look beyond our material resources.
ACE OF SWORDS - A metallic skull with a gold spade on it's face from it's forehead down to its nose. A gold and white sword pierces the top of the skull, and gold light shines from the clouds behind it. This card represents an aggressive intelligence and high ideals. It advises us to be careful on what we focus our intellect on.
