“Whatever it is your taking.”, Lex answered with a keen smile, “Tell me you’ve heard of Cardinal Knowledge. My girls are the best in the school.”

“As I’m beginning to gather” he said without missing a beat, a smirk spilling across his lips as he noticed her expression as she looked at him. He gave her the once over fairly quickly. Girl like that, he could get into trouble with, he knew that much. But he’d be good…for now. Once she took the card back, the smirk became more pronounced. “Oh, that’s a damn shame.” the words rumbled from his low tone as he leaned over as close as he could. He gently took back the care before whispering in her ear, allowing his lips to brush against her skin as he spoke.”I wouldn’t be too sure of that, y’know.”

Lex couldn’t help the shiver that ran through her once she felt her professors warm breath in her ear, the gasp of breath that filled her when his lips grazed her skin. She exhaled, slowly, but didn’t move away. Instead, the girl twisted her face until her lips were a breath away from his own, heart loud in her ears. “I suppose I meant that.. I’m not for sale.”

Obviously she had said something wrong, according to the other girls expression. Her cheeks heated as she cleared her throat, attempting to understand what underlying message the red head could have behind her words. They weren’t talking about the kind of tutoring Sarah usually involved herself in, that much was evident. “Oh, right. Your girls.” Brow furrowed as she turned her attention back to the page in front of her. “I’m just - - a little confused… but forget it. I’ll figure something out.”

Watching her scramble, Lex felt a tinge of compassion for the girl. Or at least, she would have if Lex had the faintest idea what compassion was. Instead, she saw an opportunity. “You must be so.. smart. Helping everyone with their papers when you have your own. At least, because of your intellect you must.. well, hopefully.. you received some sort of scholarship?”

Ajani smirked a bit as he saw her notice him there. He hummed softly at her answer, nodding slowly as he took everything in. “Is that right? How enterprising of you. You don’t see that among most students here.” he said, taking in her words

He took the card easily enough, looking it over, noting the odd resemblance it had to her. “Enterprising indeed. As a man of counter-culture, this is pretty impressive.” he said with a chuckle. “Well, presumably you’re the one of service at the moment. What’re you best at?”

“Well, I’m not at all like most students.”, she countered, placing the back of her pen between her lips and lightly biting down as if she needed to let go of some kind of tension. Lex wanted to scold herself. This wasn’t the first time she’d seen the professor. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t known she was mouth watering. It just.. was much more difficult to ignore when his attention was on her.

The proud grin that crossed her face was too strong to contain, warmth blooming inside as the redhead took his compliment. Still, even that prideful heat didn’t stop the girl from relishing in her next move. Card still in his hands, Lexi reached out and grabbed it back in one swift strike, tucking the paper into the strap of her bra. “That simply doesn’t matter.”, she said soft, a calm beckoning that showed no trace of her earlier aggression, “You can’t afford me.”

I can take on usually about four of them and I have - - ” She quickly ruffles through the papers, counting them as she does. “Seven right now. How many do you think you could handle?”

Lex’s brows lifted and her mouth fell slightly open, a look of somewhat disbelief that the girl believed she truly meant tutoring. Hadn’t word reached the book nerds yet? She thought one of her girls had a session in the library just last week. Obviously, this was a horrendous marketing oversight of Lex’s part. The entirety of the english department needed their dusty pages blown. “Not me, dear.”, Lexi tried with a feigned smile, “My girls.. and I think they’re a bit wrought with papers themselves right now. It’s just that time of year..”

“Hmmm, interesting. A tutoring service, you say? And after hours?” Ajani said with a raised brow. “And if I may ask, what all subjects to you offer tutoring for? I’m admittedly all kinds of curious” he asked, levity lining his tone.

The girl’s red hair whipped as she turned to look at the professor, whom happened to be listening to her conversation. Lex’s tongue slid in between her plush lips, a smile growing as she answered, “All subjects really. I have a tutor for anything you could possibly desire.”

A pale arm reached out, offering him a card emblazened with her company’s logo, a blood red bird, and the words “Cardinal Knowledge” in script. “Although, what exactly do you need to ‘study’, professor?”
