He’s Gone.
LIFTY’S POV:
Lifty sighed out softly, his body sprawled out over the bed as he waited for his brother to finish his shower. Though they’d just finished having an intimate bonding moment together, the submissive twin was still yearning for more. He could still feel the memory of Shifty’s touch over his skin, ghosting over his skin and drawing him to roll in the blankets of their bed. His naked body was soothed by the soft fabric beneath him, urging him to relax in his twin’s absence. He let out yet another sigh.

Shifty scrubbed at his dark green hair, the mutated zigzagoon making sure he was thoroughly clean. He cared a lot about his appearance, wanting to look nice and, well, rich. Since he’d left his twin on the bed to clean up, knowing if Lifty joined him in the shower then nothing would get clean, so he insisted that Lifty stayed in bed. He looked over his shoulder, stretching his arm ba to gingerly touch at the red lines on his skin where Lifty had gotten a little too caught up in what they’d been doing. The hot water and soap caused the abused skin to sting a little, but Shifty was used to it at this point.

Z’S POV:
There had been a time before when Z had been out. He’d been so close to his target, prepared to take what he deserved, but the two mutated rodents were in his way. With a team effort, they had helped Fire put Z back under and return Laynee back. Had the zigzagoons not been there, Z could’ve taken what he wanted earlier. Instead, he had been made dormant while Laynee took full control of the body they shared for months. Now that Z was back, the twins had a price to pay for making him wait so long and he would start with Lifty.

SHIFTY’S POV:
Shifty always had aggression issues, violence boiling just beneath the surface caused by his mutated genes. However, he wasn’t one to actually kill unless he was pressed to the extreme. One way to do that was to hurt his brother, however, he was a bit torn. He didn’t want to kill his trainer and still had that ingrained fear of Z within him from his younger age. Now that he was an adult, he gather up enough steel in his spine to come to his twin’s aid. He knew if he hadn’t, Z would’ve killed Lifty, so it was well worth the risk to save his brother. He should’ve thought his attack through, but seeing blood spill from Lifty had made him mindless and desperate in need to keep Z fro hurting Lifty any more.

Z’S POV:
Z was so used to being able to cause pain and get immediate results. It had been a while since he’d taken up the twins, whom had both been much younger when last he had a proper ability to deal with them. Back then, it had been much easier to bend them to his will as neither were as strong as he was. When they were kids, he’d been in his mid-teens and far more trained in brutality and torturous ways. So when he couldn’t put Shifty in his place quick enough, it frustrated Z. His amusement drained into anger, his lips lifting into a dangerous snarl. He was nearly animalistic the more his temper rose.

SHIFTY’S POV:
Shifty was doing his best to keep Z at bay, he wasn’t much of a fighter but he was moreso than his twin was. When push come to shove and Lifty was in danger, he couldn’t linger on fears, he had to at least let Lifty get away before trying to make his own escape. His arm strained as Z pushed against his hand, trying to overpower him, but Shifty had the better angle to keep him from stabbing backwards towards him. He was almost an adult now, he had to remember that and not give in to old fears when he’d been too little to properly fight back. He wasn’t going to die here and neither was his brother, he just had to keep that thought in mind to steel his will and keep him fighting.

Z’S POV:
There was a feel of appease in the way Shifty was stunned, even if for just a moment. It was enough that Z could get himself free of the hold and gain that upperhand he needed so badly to gain. But as Shifty gathered himself, Z had to check and make sure that the wound on his shoulder wouldn’t bleed too much. He reached a hand to it, touching the sticky liquid and testing the pain he could feel in it. It wasn’t the worse wound he’d had, it wouldn’t kill him.

SHIFTYS POV:
Shifty had hoped to drive Z away so he could regain some focus, he could feel his claws digging into flesh and rend the shirt to shreds. One wrong move and Z would be on him, just thinking about it made a thread of fear weave its way into his confidence. He couldn't help it, fearing Z and his punishments had been ingrained within him since he was young, barely out of the egg and having to face the hard reality of life as a Team Rocket pokemon. Once Team Rocket had disbanded, he left with Lifty, it was a hard decision but he had to keep his twin safe, even it had meant abandoning his trainer. Though, he couldn't completely leave Zeleny, always returning to visit for a few days before leaving again, the kind Laynee he'd known kept Shifty from completely deserting his loyalties to the man.
