Then It's Settled || Taavi & Conan
Taavi knocked on Conan’s door perhaps a little harder than he had intended to in his perpetual state of nervous curiosity. The joints of his fingers stung slightly and he shifted nervously on the pads of his feet. If the gangly male was to be entirely honest, he had little to no idea what he was doing at this man’s residence. Sure the general premise was intact, but how he’d gotten himself into the situation was passed him. He supposed it was his own doing when he thought on it. Taavi had been the one to insinuate that sex between them was a conceivable endeavor and furthermore he hadn’t actually said no. That was admittedly odd behavior for him.
Taavi wasn’t the kind of person who enjoyed extensive company. He never really had been. If it came between going out and staying in with a cup of tea and a crappy soap opera, there was never even a second of doubt as to which he’d choose. The choice between fucking an friend – it had to be friend, because Taavi hadn’t made Conan call him Silas — and keeping to himself was usually one that was even clearer. In fact, it just wasn’t something he would do at all. That was the kind of thing his father had made a widespread routine of and Taavi wanted nothing to do with that lifestyle after living the results. Somehow the nonsensical russet haired male had wormed his way past that and Taavi wasn’t entirely sure how.
His gaze shifted around the hall aimlessly, eyes narrowed and taking on a mulch like hue in the lighting. It seemed to him that it took hours for the door to open, when in reality it had barely taken minutes. The general sense of edgy anticipation had canceled out his extensive patience, it seemed. It was an unfortunate habit that always seemed to kick into effect at exactly the wrong times, only making him jumpier as it progressed. Upon hearing the shuffling of feet from the other inside he stood a straighter as if to make a better first impression out of habit. Eyes now glued to the wood before him and hands tucked into his pockets, Taavi watched as the door swung open.
Under no circumstances had there ever been a moment in Conan’s life where he had so imperturbably spoken of sex – especially with a male. Today, conversely, Conan’s mind seemed that it was attempting to be particularly disloyal to his usual mind set of an introvert, for he had brazenly invited Taavi over with the promise of – what exactly had he promised him? They had spoken quite perceptibly of sexual endeavours, but Conan wasn’t entirely set on the idea of perusing any homosexual acts until he was at least forty and breaking through a mid-life crisis whilst alone, considering the marriage to one of his eighteen cats. The thought had crossed his mind at least.
Conan heard the outlying clank of the apartment doors beneath him and his stomach had dropped. Only moments later he recalled the sound of the male’s wrist tapping against the rose-tainted wooden exterior of his door. Conan had paused in disarray, his lips pressed tightly together as he decided to hastily dart towards the bathroom after calling out, “just a minute!” in an effort to keep the man contented with the few extra minutes he would have to wait in order for Conan to comfortably open the door. When in the bathroom, Conan peered back into the mirror and pursed his flawlessly shaped lips in a means of bringing some of the colour back to them. Switch on, switch off – a routine of facades that Conan had learnt from being in the company of others and being in the company of himself.
He swiftly splashed a handful of water over his face and forced a smile to his lips. Conan beamed in his own enigmatic ways, one muscular crossed over the other as it had been for a few seconds now as he strode inelegantly towards the door and pried it open. “Hey, Taavi, come on in,” he spoke, widening his dark eyes as he forced the rustic door open with the edge of his foot. Once the male was inside, Conan broke out into chaotic conversation yet again, “so you found it okay? Well, duh – obviously. You’re here.” Conan kicked the door closed behind the male and stood back, audaciously eyeing the male’s stature for a few moments; frankly, he thought the male was more than attractive and he was undoubtedly someone he liked. So, why not take the risk? “So...”
