It feels so good to come home and not have to worry about anyone complaining that you're taking your medicine. For me it's medicinal but I do love it. I did it a lot as a teen for fun, but now after 3 injuries, 6 surgeries and a crazy outburst of arthritis-this is what helps, not narcotics.

There's many things I can say get my attention, but there are very few that actually capture me. One of those few that have captured me was you. The first time I saw you when I picked you up for our first date I just wanted to give you a tight long hug. I felt the urge to say "finally what I've been waiting for" but I kept my cool, I knew that wouldn't have been a good first impression. As time went on and we got to know each other deeper and deeper, I could now express myself in such a way. And to my surprise you embraced me and my weird personality, you didn't judge me, criticize me, or belittle me. And if anything you opened yourself up as well and let me see the real you. And I was just completely taken away. It's strange sometimes meeting someone and letting yourself go little by little because of that fear of rejection. But with you I felt like we had known each other for such a long time that it just made it easier for me to let go of my inner shield and open up to you. I'm not afraid to tell you how I'm feeling or to express my true self. There's been times that when meeting someone I feel restricted from showing who I am because of that thought in the back of my mind that something will evidently go wrong and I'll lose that person, well I'm sure glad it never worked out with anyone before because then you and I wouldn't have met and we wouldn't have such great chemistry together. It's hard going thru a heartache, you wonder why someone would do the things they've done to you. But if someone else didn't break my heart, you wouldn't be here to put it back together. I am grateful beyond measure we met and are where we are now, I'm very optimistic of us and focused on what the future has for us. You've become an instant thought when I rise and a sweet lullaby as I lay my head to rest at night. Music makes sense now, air is crisper, weekends are longer and Mondays aren't so boring anymore. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm thinking of you, day and night, you're on my mind.

There’s no reason as to try and erase things of old from our lives, for these are the moments and events that shaped us to be us today. There’s no point to pretending lovers were never met, words were never said or feelings ever shared. You live it and in the moment you embrace it, for a split second you feel on top of the world and nothing, not even gravity can bring you down.
