First I had to learn to love myself, then I had to learn to love myself through others. That came in the form of friendship and then motherhood. When I really truly learned to love myself, and stop accepting the bullshit that society and other people tried to feed me, it truly opened the flood gates for me to receive love in return. This also opened the floodgates for people who are energy vampires and envious folks and I’m still learning how to navigate all of that. People will try to latch on to your light and drain it down from a super nova to a night light. Guard your light at all costs. Keep shining. Keep grinding. Find time to recharge.
