“Good enough,” Foster plucked the frog from him and raised a brow. “Why so wary?”
“What d-do you mean?”
“Nah, I’m n-not eating it, you can h-have it.”

❀ credite in @mishacollinws (automatic tweet), thanks ❀

If everyone could PLEASE tune into watching Under the Dome tonight at 10pm on CBS that would be great!
“Do you need anything else?”
“N-no,” he answered, shaking his head. “Nothing e-else.”
“You can keep them for as long as you need. I know the subject pretty well anyways.”
“R-right,” he mumbled, pocketing the notes. “Again, th-thanks.”
“If you need to keep them for a few days, feel free to. I don’t need them for a few days.”
“Th-thanks,” Davey said, nodding. “I’ll get them b-back to you, I p-promise.”
“Oh. I was really listening when you asked the first time. I’m sorry. Do you need any help with it or just copy my notes?”
He shook his head. “No, th-thank you. Don’t even need t-to copy them, really, just l-look.”
“This is the last time I’m going to say it. You can’t copy my Charms homework. You can figure it out without my help.”
“I didn’t ask t-to copy your homework, j-just look at your notes. I w-wasn’t in class.”
“Wh-wh…” she furrowed her brows quickly and jerked her arm upwards, bringing it back to herself and holding it as if he’d offended her. “Well, a’right then. I won’t touch you. At least you’re not crying.”
Davey looked her up and down, still extremely wary but trying to get his heart rate back to normal. “I - I th-think I’d better just g-go...”
“Hey, hey,” Monika furrowed her brows. “Calm down. No need to cry. I was just… being insensitive,” she said, putting her arm around him gently. “It’s okay right now. We’re a-okay.”
The moment her arm touched him, Davey jumped about an inch in the air, hastily jerking away, eyes wide and breath sharp. “Don’t - d-don’t do that,” he stammered.
Monika shrugged. “Well, I guess that settles that then,” she sighed. There was just no getting around it. “If anything, I’d say this place is just a lowly purgatory. Not too heavenly, not too hellish, just somewhere in the middle more on the bad side. Enough to where I want to sleep all the time or just scream.”
Again he shook his head, the tears that he’d staved off for the last few minutes making their return. “N-no,” he said in a choked voice. “No, it isn’t. It’s d-definitely Hell.”
“I really wish I could gather my thoughts enough to argue with you about this, but unfortunately, your biblical knowledge does overpower mine with exact quotes,” she said, letting out a breath. “Punish him with the rod,” Monika repeated, trying to maintain her calm demeanor instead of laughing because, well, she was a child. “My point being, if you’re trapped here, why not see for yourself if you can travel.”
“I c-can,” he answered. “This place p-pretty much rebuilt the regular w-world. Didn’t get it exact, b-but close enough. Came here on the t-train and all. So I know th-they’ve got their own version of H-hogsmeade. Can’t have a v-version of home, though. Didn’t h-have one when I was alive, s-so I can’t have one h-here.”
“Seeing you get all emotional”
“Didn’t r-realize I had been.”
“Whatever–demon nonsense. That’s fine,” she waved her hand a little bit and then got to her point, “If you haven’t tried, and if you’re supposedly stuck here in this hell, which I assume is just this place–Hogwarts–then you wouldn’t be able to leave Hogwarts. Correct? And on top of that the biblical definition of hell is–and correct me if I’m wrong, I’m just paraphrasing–like a furnace or a lake of fire or basically a place where you’re eternally burning while Satan punishes you. So why is this not that?”
Davey just stared at her, furrowing his brow, trying to figure out what game this demon was playing. “I don’t kn-know,” he answered quietly. “And I don’t p-pretend to know. But it’s n-not about the fire. ‘They will be p-punished with everlasting d-destruction and shut out from the p-presence of the Lord’,” he recited, mechanically, almost robotically, as he turned away again. “’There w-will be weeping and gn-gnashing of teeth’... ‘p-putting them into gloomy d-dungeons to be held for j-judgment’... ‘punish him with the r-rod’... that last one I should have f-figured out.”
