does anyone still roleplay anymore?
The Captain and the Kitten
“If you ever wake up and don’t know what to do, you can work out with me.” She said with a smile, walking to the kitchen to make a shake. She never liked to have heavy food after working out, it upset her stomach.
Abbie found her shirt to be too sweaty, so she took it off and tossed it into the hamper (usually for kitchen napkins but who cares. Her sports bra was colorful in contrast to her black pants.
How did someone with that many scars still have a genuine smile on her face? Her back was littered in so many different size scars.. and new ones healing.
“Would you like a shake?”
Oh my god.
Abbie thought to herself as he undressed. She could tell he wanted to show off a little, and it was definitely working. Her eyes scanned every inch of him, admiring him like a work of art.
When he opened the door more, she let out a small giggle, giving him a smile as she blushed, biting her bottom lip.
As she just stared at him, he took the initiative again and stepped into the shower and closed the door, their bodies incredibly close. But they could both see each other clearly. How attractive each of them were.
Water spilling and splashing down their bodies, making them glisten, making their curves and muscles pop.
“Are we gonna wash… or are you just gonna stare at me like a hunk of meat the entire time.” He teased
She looked at for another second before she glanced up at his eyes, blushing slightly. “More like a work of art.” She said with a smile, reaching to the ledge to grab some body wash, putting some in her hand, handing the bottle over to him.
She stepped into the water to get wet before she lathered up. Abbie ran her hands over her skin, slowly covering in bubbles.
“A work of art? My my… that’s certainly the most flattering thing I’ve ever been called.” He chuckled as she handed him the bottle. Max moving to do the same as her as he stepped in after her.
His eyes never on his body, but on her body as it got shiny and slick and clean, watching her hands play with her curves and skin.
Abbie tried her best to keep her eyes somewhere else, because she knew that if she was to look at him, she would melt into a blushing, giggling mess. She would occasionally glance at him, smiling each time she did.
As she washed herself, she found it a little hard to really get her back. She turned so her back as to him.
“Would you mind helping me?”
“are you texting him?”
“And what if I am?”Abbie asked, rubbing her thumb over the back of her phone. She didn’t know what anger he was capable of, and didn’t want to test it out, so she tightened her grip around her phone Incase he tired to snatch it.
The turn he did was very sudden, and startled her slightly, but she brushed it off.
Abbie went over to her phone and picked it up, turning the ringer off before she replied to her friend, followed by a text saying she’s going to dinner, so please don’t text.
After setting her phone on Do Not Disturb, she tucked her phone into her back pocket, and grabbed her bag.
Stepping into the bedroom, he shut the door behind him. Taking a seat on the bed, he stared at the reflection before him. Things just kind’ve felt off, he wondered if it was his fault.
Abbie stood by the door and waited…. and waited. Things were taking a while.
She furrowed her eyebrows as she walked to the bedroom, knocking on the door. “Is everything okay?” She asked through the door.
“Oh yeah, sorry.” He said, rising quickly as he reached for his wallet. “Are you ready?” He asked, slipping his hand on the small of her back.
“Yeah, I am.” Abbie said, stepping out of the bedroom.
She walked to the front door, stopping at the mirror next to it to fix her hair, turning to him, giving him a cute little smile before she opened the door.
“Stop looking in the mirror, you already look good and you know that.” Vincent noted as he led her outside of the apartment.
“I just wanted to make sure.” She said with a small laugh as she stepped outside. Abbie took in a deep breath of the crisp, night air, giving a smile.
As Vincent locked the door, Abbie took her phone out to check the diner’s social media feed, looking at all the pictures from the on going dessert contest. She then answered any of her texts before tucking her phone away in her pocket.
“Onward!”
“are you texting him?”

“Who knows.” Tony said with a shrug as he took a bite of his bacon. “I bet he has. I wouldn’t doubt the wizards.” He said, finishing game his food before standing up, planting a kiss on Pepper’s head, taking his dishes to the sink.
-
Abbie pulled her hair back and hummed as she worked, erasing any errors along the way. Chemistry was tough, but she enjoyed it at the same time.
After about an hour or so, she packed up her things into her bag, standing up to leave. She threw her bag on and decided to head to window shop a little.
Along the way she got a nice cup of tea from her favorite cafe, enjoying everything she did.
From the shops, she got a new notebook, some pens, a new dress, and a surprise for Pepper, a necklace that had a crystal of her favorite color.
Abbie made her way home, Jarvis alerting Pepper to her arrival.
“Mom!” Abbie called out happily as she made her way to the living room.
@confusedlittleexperiment
“I hope so,” she sighed, nursing her coffee and trying to decide whether to not to have another.
-
“I’m in here,” Pepper called out from the office. She had been working on some reports and doing some research on how to make the company more efficient. “Come on in.”
Abbie almost pranced as she made her way to the office, dropping her bag on the floor before walking up to Pepper, holding out the box in her hands.
“I got you something while I was out. I saw it and absolutely had to get it for you.” She said, the brightest smile on her face. She handed it over to Pepper, twiddling her fingers as she waited.
“I hope you like it.”
Taking the box into her hands, she smiled. Abbie was so thoughtful, even after the incident with the book and how angry she had been.
“Thank you,” she lifted the top from the golden box. “It’s beautiful and the perfect shade of blue.” Pepper lifted it to her chest, reaching behind to fasten it. “How does it look?”
Even when there was anger or fighting, Abbie always wanted to be nice. She found that there was so much negativity in the world, she always tried her best not to add from it, but to take away from it.
“It’s beautiful.” Abbie said, clapping a little bit.
“Wanna see what else I got?” She said, going over to her bag to bring it over.
“Look how cute this is.” She took out her new notebook, which had watercolor succulents on it. “I absolutely had to get it. Also-“ she pulled out the dress she got.
It was a little black dress with a keyhole chest and back. It was very cute. “It was on sale!” Which was the best part to Abbie, cute and discount.

“I don’t see why not.”
Abbie said with a small shrug as she took a bite of her eggs. What they didn’t know is that she could physically leave her book in her room, but she was able to conjour it if she had an emergency, not to say the spells that she already had memorized. But she didn’t want to get in trouble, so she wasn’t going to conjour it.
“So if I leave my boom here, I can go out?”
@confusedlittleexperiment
Pepper looked to Tony, who nodded. They were in agreement.
“Yes. If you leave the book, you can go out.” It seemed too nice a day to waste it. Besides, the spells were in the book. “Finish your breakfast.”
The look of excitement was clear to see on her face, her eyes lit up immediately. She seemed to almost scarf down the rest of her food.
Tony chuckled at the sight as he ate his food, watching Abbie bound up the stairs and to her room to grab her bag and a pair of shoes.
She threw her bag over her shoulder, running back to the dining room table to plant a kiss on her mother’s cheek, giving Tony a hug.
“Bye!”
She shouted as she ran out.
“She’s headed to the park, I’ve detected the book in her room.” Jarvis updated them.
Abbie ran to the park, weaving between people, saying quick hellos to people she recognized.
The park was gorgeous, the breeze going through the leaves, the sunlight dancing on the water of the pond.
She found the perfect tree to plunk herself under, sitting in the shade. What a beautiful day. Abbie took out her notebook and tablet from her bag, and began on some of the chemistry study she had to do. It also helped her with potions.
“Well,” her mother shrugged. “That’s good. She did exactly what we wanted her to do. Now we can’t touch it. Think Stephen’s made any head way?”
“Who knows.” Tony said with a shrug as he took a bite of his bacon. “I bet he has. I wouldn’t doubt the wizards.” He said, finishing game his food before standing up, planting a kiss on Pepper’s head, taking his dishes to the sink.

“Would you like a shake?”
The knock surprised Abbie, and she dropped the shampoo bottle, which caused her to let out a started yelp.
“Yes please.” She said, the question a pleasant surprise.
She continued washing her hair as he walked in, trying not to think about his presence too much, or she would get flustered.
Her skin held a surprising amount of scars. They looked as if they were from punishments or fights- some of them from operations. Some even remnants of self harm.
He remembered seeing some of those scars when she had been captured by her old predators. They told her story more than words could and the fact that she was standing strong with them was an even bigger accolade.
And though he couldn’t see her, he could see her silhouette. The man approaching the woman’s clothes to pick them up and then linger. Knowing she could see him to. Wondering if she was going to say anything, request anything.
Her heart pounded in her chest as he lingered in the bathroom, the words seeming to her stuck in her mouth. She ran her fingers through her hair, watching him through the glass door.
Just say it. Ask him. The worst he can say is no. Just do it.
Abbie silently took in a deep breath, wiping the water off of her face.
“W-would you like to join me?” She finally asked.
“Only if you want me in there.” He said back, in complete contrast to her hesitation and unsure nature.
“Do you?” He asked with a smile.
Abbie blushes brightly and bit her bottom lip as she smiled. Something about him asking for permission made it so much better.
“I do.” She said, opening the door only slightly, so she wasn’t all the way shown.

Tony let out a small groan as he rolled over to his other side, only to take in a deep breath, taking in the smell.
Bacon was an inspiration to anyone to get out of bed.
-
Abbie was flipping bacon as Pepper came in. “Tea sounds great.” She said with a smile. She always preferred tea to coffee, and it always made her happy whenever Pepper remembered (which was always, but it still made her smile).
When the bacon was done, Abbie added the eggs into the pan, allowing them to take in the bacon flavor as they cooked.
Tony made his way down the stairs, walking up to Pepper to kiss her cheek before he walked to Abbie, patting her head as he stole a piece of bacon, Abbie letting out a small purr.
Once the eggs were done, Abbie put them on a large plate before serving them, making plates for the three of them.
As she ate, Abbie glanced out the window at the beautiful day- clear skies and bright sun, giving a small pout since she was on house arrest. All she wanted to do was go to the park and enjoy the day.
@confusedlittleexperiment
Moving to the Keurig, Pepper made Abbie’s tea first. She didn’t use it the traditional way. It was just an easy way to heat water.
“Fruity tea or Earl Grey?”
She sat at the table with Tony on her right, stirring her coffee and eating slowly. “Thanks Abbie. Sorry you can’t get out today. The book is too dangerous to others.”
“Earl Grey.”
Abbie said, taking the cup from under the Keurig once it was done, walking over to the table to sit with them and eat.
“Even if I leave it here?” She said, looking up at Pepper with puppy eyes.
Tony just worked on his food in silence, knowing that Pepper was in charge of that field. Abbie once did the whole ‘ask mom for permission, get a no, ask dad instead and get a yes’ and Pepper wasn’t pleased afterwards, so he learned his lesson.
“If you leave it here, then yes.” Her mother was trying to be reasonable. “You may go outside.” Pepper pursed her lips together. “Do you think that she’ll let you?” The she in question was the book itself.
“I don’t see why not.”

Abbie hesitates a little before she opened the door, but she did open the door.
The braid was still kind of in, but it was slowly coming apart, with many stray hairs and locks coming loose.
“Yes please.” She said softly.
Abbie never liked having tension between her and Pepper. She valued their relationship more than anything in the world. Growing up Abbie knew she could confide in Pepper with anything.
Before Pepper even stepped into the bathroom, Abbie stepped forward to give her a hug, resting her head on her mother’s chest.
@confusedlittleexperiment
“Uh…” Her arms surrounded Abbie. “Are you okay?” She had known that Abbie was still upset. “Things will be okay,” she rubbed her back. “You’ll see.”
The longer they stood there, the faster the braid loosened.
“Let me fix your hair. Then you can go to bed,” as was tradition.
Abbie didn’t say anything, she just stepped back and shrugged. “I’m okay.” She said softly before she reached behind, undoing the braid, letting her hair fall.
She turned around and brushed her hair before handing the brush to Pepper, letting her work her magic. Abbie didn’t really say anything the whole time, not knowing what to say.
One by one, Pepper took each strand, winding it around, over and over, avoiding Abbie’s ears.
“Rubberband?” She held her hand out to the side, holding the bottom of the braid in the other.
Abbie reached to the counter and grabbed a small hairband before she passed it back to Pepper, being careful to stay pretty still so she wouldn’t mess up the braid.
Once Pepper was done, Abbie smiles at her reflection in the mirror, twitching her ears slightly so they would get be more comfortable.
“Thank you.”
Abbie gave her mom one more hug before she scampered back to her room.
She was up for a little longer, reading from her spell book, before she finally went to bed. Abbie turned on her side and looked out the windows at the city line, which was lit up and still busy at such a late hour. After a while, she finally fell asleep.
-
Tony spent some time down in the lab, working on his research, as well as a bottle.
When he finally went to bed, he slid under the covers next to Pepper, and pulled her to him to be a small spoon, planting a tired kiss on her shoulder before he ultimately passed out.
-
The sunlight kissed Abbie’s face, waking her up for a new day.
After doing her morning routine, Abbie decided to dress a little nicely today, slipping on a white sundress which had sunflowers on it, her red hair beautifully wavy from the braid she had.
She headed down stairs to the kitchen, and began to make breakfast for her, Tony, and Pepper- just some scrambled eggs with cheese, and bacon- the kitchen filling with a delicious aroma.
“Abbie’s making breakfast.” The smell had made it upstairs and into the rooms, but it was faint. “There’s bacon. We should get up before it’s cold.” Pepper yawned, pulling back the comforter, letting the cold hit her body. She needed to turn the heat up a little.
Eventually, she made it downstairs. “You look fancy and breakfast smells good. I’ll make coffee. Tea?”
Tony let out a small groan as he rolled over to his other side, only to take in a deep breath, taking in the smell.
