I was going to get on Instagram to doomscroll until I went to bed but I saw some horrific news that no news outlets would cover. A trans woman was stabbed many times while doing her laundry in an apartment complex. No news outlets would comment on it, and it seemed that the police gave little care. It's scary. I opened the comments and saw mostly support, but plenty of comments that said something along the lines of "good riddance." Often I wonder how much better it could be for Queer people if we didn't have such a stupid president. If we lived in a society where trans is considered normal and acceptable (which it absolutely is) i probably would be way more expressive. Fear isn't something people should have to feel when they are just trying to be true to themselves. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I saw another post shortly after that was talking about suicide. The post was supposed to be supporting but it just felt judgemental. I dont judge anyone who has passed away or anyone who feels suicidal. It is incredibly relatable. Especially in relation to our current situation. I dont think I could ever bring myself to do it, but i know there are many people who feel that way and could. I see people calling it selfish and rude, but i see at as someone not being able to carry the weight of their own life anymore. That feeling can be overwhelming and strong. I dont think it's selfish at all, I think its devastating and sad. I would personally be there for anyone to talk to if they ever felt that way.
