I design / draw holiday cards every year, it's been an ongoing tradition for me, though I don't always remember to do a timelapse. I always like rewatching the process and seeing where my mind went since I go in with a vague plan and don't know how things often turn out.

This is a series now and I'm continuing it. Have a lot of frames on hand that I'll be looking to use and it'll be interesting to see how these all turn out!

A little different from what I had planned in sketches again but mostly pretty good! (Swapped the fluorite stone for quartz instead. I'll use the fluorite for another piece in the future.)

Worked and finished this over the weekend, I just sat and worked on it while watching movies.

I have small or broken off crystals / stones that I can't really display properly, so I figured putting them in a frame would be nice! I will probably do more!

One of the prints I made specifically for the Spring Craft Fair (that was also made with gold foil). More historical fashion inspiration -- loosely based on Dutch bonnets of the 17th century.

Watch me be indecisive about colors. I think I never bother drafting out colors when I work, I just have "placeholder" colors that I fully intend on changing later.

Was thinking something about birds of paradise and it kind of evolved from there. I don't question the process and where it gets me in the end, I just let it take me over.

Indulge me in an AU where Trilla escapes during the Rebellion era and goes off into a remote village on another planet where she learned to dye and make patterned fabric and now takes all of that with her wherever she goes.

I remember struggling a bit with the color palette I wanted to choose for her in this one. I talk a bit more in the zine about my process, but overall, what she is wearing feels ornamental but also possesses a lot of practicality for her to wear in battle. Tapered sleeves and pockets beneath the sash.

It was such an interesting time and process, I've been wanting to do more for Luminara for a long time. Mirialian culture still has very little that is talked about in canon so I took some creative liberties and designed around the concept.

With 18 contributors and nearly 30 different Jedi covered, we have constructed a free, digital zine showcasing original designs for our favourite characters across five different eras.

who are we?

Between our mods and our contributors, we all have a love for these characters and their stories. Artists were given freedom to develop, design, and render or fabricate their designs in order to delve in and showcase their talents to experience the Star Wars universe in a new way. We are thrilled to be able to share all of the contributor's incredible work and designs with you. Our contributor's social medias are linked within the zine and we encourage you to check out their work and support them!

No prompts this month, just whatever concepts I can think of while sketching. But I think I'd like to get some coloring practice in so we'll see how it goes.

Did some coloring practice with Eowyn. Completely off color scheme, but I liked the experimentation practice!

Redrawing another older piece from 2019, I would like to go back to doing some lineart but we'll see how the year goes. I've been working on other things that I can't post so once in a while I hope to post something.

Some things I worked on during Kat Tsai’s Color and Light class, which I thought was wonderfully well taught and covered so much in a short time. 

If anyone has apprehensions about approaching backgrounds, I would highly recommend her class!

Timelapse video of the patreon request I did for Nell here. This one is a little interesting, because you’ll see me experiment a bit with the coloring to figure out the palette.

I actually post more videos consistently on my Patreon and have more commentary about my process as well, for everyone in the $1 Tier and above (charge is only for the first creation of the month).
