I'm terribly disappointed in the haters of Zack Snyder's DCEU. Many complain about thin plots, moody characters, explicit violence. Everyone entered the DC Universe at a different time, in a different medium. Some people were introduced to the comics first. Others the '66 Batman series. The '70s Superman movies. The Burton films. The Animated films/series. The Nolan series. The Arkham games. The DCEU. I would love to see if there are any trends for the amount of DCEU haters that were introduced to each medium as their introduction to the DC Universe. Those that say "Batman is too angry" can't have started with the comics. Those that say "it's too violent" can't have started from the comics either. My estimation would be that most haters were either introduced through the Nolan series or enjoyed Marvel films so much, they decided to become superhero film critics and watch the DCEU, only then to complain about how it's not Marvel.

I read an article this evening about the skepticism of a Zack Snyder cut and what I found in the comments were roughly 4 different types of people.
The Hater of the movie, Lover of the Director
This person hated Joss Whedon and Warner Bros. influence on Zack Snyder's vision. They believe the issues with how the final film panned out was the result of Whedon's firing of Junkie XL and terrible reshoots. They believe a Snyder cut would be a piece of art and consistent to the DCEU continuity. They are commonly an avid DC fan that enjoys most things DC, regardless of the medium.
The Lover of the Movie, Hater of the Director
This person appears to enjoy Whedon's adjustments to the film and hate Synder's prior works. They are a minority and usually have a liking towards the MCU. They seem to be less interested in abstract artistic styles, more interested in humour and lighter tones. Not to mention, follow the mainstream rather than be more open-minded.
The Hater of the Movie, Hater of the Director
This person believes the movie sucked and Snyder sucks. This person would be correct in their closed world where every film must fit a very specific standard. There is no room for trial and error in this person's eyes. Only perfection.
The Lover of the Movie, Lover of the Director
This person is very open minded. I admire that, however this is not me. They would love anything DC no matter who directed it. They don't take anything too seriously. Truth be told, they probably don't even care much for technicals or art when it comes to film, they just want a good time.
Me
I put myself between The Lover/Hater of the Movie, Lover of the Director. The movie was average. Whedon's adjustments and Snyder's original visionary are good in their own right. I acknowledge big flaws and great achievements. I would still prefer a Snyder cut however because I greatly enjoy the visual style and complex plots. He is my favourite director and I say that in full confidence. He made Watchmen Ultimate Cut, a film with 3 completely unique storylines intertwined into one complex plot heavily influenced by the source material almost panel for panel. His utilisation of slow motion, lighting, CGI, music, complex plots and comic book source material makes for a very unique and amazing collection of films.
What to do, what to do?
What on Earth do I do?
I’m at a crossroads in my life. Looking for a path to success but ultimately comfort. Nothing quite like the feeling of comfy.
I’m obsessed with DC but I have no clue why. I just love it so much.
I enjoy designing but greatly lack confidence in my work let alone know what to do with it once it’s designed. Not to mention, it might not be to industry standard. But that makes me wonder, why can’t I be successful doing what I love? Why does it have to appeal to the masses?
I could get a desk job doing something moderately interesting. That’d be relatively comfy. Do I settle for sub-par or reach far risking the ability to be successful and comfy?
Do I need confidence in my abilities or do I need a reality check? I feel like that’s the most difficult intersection. Which road do I take? This is probably a question I should ask a professional. Someone who’s done both. Someone who built a successful business on a risky but comfy passion. Someone who had natural talent but not some sort of prodigy. Just above average. That’s how I feel about my designs. Just above average. Not exceptional.
How could I make money from my designs? How could I protect them from theft? How could I legally integrate them into my passion for DC?
Perhaps YouTubing? Not sure how to do it but I could learn. And where do I start? What’s the million dollar unique performance (even 6-figures would be awesome)?
I want money. I want comfy. I need advice.
