The Village Culture as a Verb
The Village is an invitation, a story in the making. A co-creative cultural experiment birthed out of the longing for and fascination with what village life could be, and how to bring that into a festival context. Within the collaborative process of exploring this inquiry, through our study of indigenous wisdom traditions, we acknowledge that at the core of village life are earth-based practices of creating offerings of beauty with our hands and with our voices.
The Village is an opportunity to experience and participate in many aspects of this way of being such as song sharing, ritual theater, sunrise and sunset ceremonies, collective prayer, storytelling, and much more. We will be providing varied forms of ancestral arts classes such as carving, archery, fire making, weaving, as well as councils and presentations of traditional stories and prophecies with Indigenous Elders.

Hosted by Michael Cassel and Shannon Moore from Venice of America, The Lumi Lounge & Cafe will be open day and night, so be sure to stop by for breakfast, lunch, dinner or late-night snacks while enjoying eclectic sounds you won’t find anywhere else.

SCENE. NOT HEARD" These words exemplify the mission, challenge, and lifeblood of Silent Frisco. This San Francisco-based crew of sonic missionaries turns impossible public performance challenges into powerful outpourings of free expression. They use cutting edge technology to enable artistic, political and educational expression.
Silent Frisco is bringing more than 3000 two-channel, festival-optimized wireless headphones. Custom-designed and built from scratch, Silent Frisco headsets operate on two simultaneous, long-range feeds, providing the best in audio clarity, volume, and comfort. With this technology, and the creative and operational experience born of 17-years in the business, they enable the music to play while neighbors enjoy peace and quiet. Once one removes "noise" and "nuisance" from the equation, public gatherings can be seen for what they truly are: an unalienable civil right.
They have consistently blazed new trails leading the US silent disco community on its first national tours, and first activations in beaches, parks, and boats.
