A Lesson for Young Witches
If you cannot find representations for a given element, remember…
You are supported by a rigid skeleton made of minerals. You are earth.
Your body is over 70% fluid. You are water.
Your lungs take in and expel breath. You are air.
Your blood is warm and your brain runs on electrical impulses. You are fire.
Your essence, however you describe it, resides within you. You are spirit.
You are composed of gifts from every element, and every element is given marvelous life in you.
Never feel that you are insufficiently magical for lack of icons or accoutrements or accessories.
You are ALWAYS magic. You are ALWAYS enough.
Bringing this back, because you never know who needs to see it. 😊

The traditional Amazigh religion is the ancient and native set of beliefs and deities adhered to by the Amazigh autochthones of North Africa. Many ancient Amizagh beliefs were developed locally, whereas others were influenced over time through contact with other traditional African religions (such as the Ancient Egyptian religion)
The authors of the book The Berbers stated that the cult of the dead was one of the distinguishing characteristics of the Berbers in antiquity.Pomponius Mela reported that the Augilae (Modern Awjila in Libya) considered the spirits of their ancestors to be gods. They swore by them and consulted them. After making requests, they slept in their tombs to await responses in dreams.
Herodotus (484 BC–ca.425 BC) noted the same practice among the Nasamones, who inhabited the deserts around Siwa and Augila. He wrote:
They swear by the men among themselves who are reported to have been the most righteous and brave, by these, I say, laying hands upon their tombs; and they divine by visiting the sepulchral mounds of their ancestors and lying down to sleep upon them after having prayed; and whatsoever thing the man sees in his dream, this he accepts.
The Africans worshiped their kings, too. The tombs of the Numidian kings are among the most notable monuments left by the Classical Africans
The veneration (not worship) of saints which exists among the modern Africans in the form of Maraboutism—which is widespread in northwest Africa—may or may not contain traces of prior beliefs or customs concerning the dead.
I crave that late night sex that goes until like three in the morning and you just fuck with music in the background to drown it out, yet your moans and screams transcend the music and you just fall asleep so satisfied. Yet wake up in the morning only to lazily do it again, but slower, as if you’re fucking at the pace of the sun rising in the sky. You are literally the sunrise.
