"Hm. Yes, that would benefit you quite nicely. A better job means a better pay. After all, as your partner I only want what's best for you."

Her reply was saturated with sarcasm. Gimini was a vital part of her team, but he seemed to have not matured like she hoped. She had lost count how many times she asked the headmaster to reevaluate teams in the early days of CHPG, but he was right. Gimini, as well as the team, grew on her. However, she’s yet to figure out whether it was for better or for worse.
"Let’s stop this incessant bickering and get to sorting out this new inventory." With that, she walked past him. The shipment was lacking on the dust side, seeing how the current string of robberies wasn’t doing her any favors. Luckily, her glassware and other operations would be able to keep her family-owned business from sinking.
The rim of his hat obscuring his eyes, though their gaze peered in pursuit of the direction that Cecilia moved. Ah yes, inventory. He sometimes forgot that business like this actually existed. What with his selfish inflation of his pride, being a certified doctor and all that hyper-intelligent business.
"Yes, yes, I understand. The importance of counting and sorting inventory."
Shoes clicking against the floor, the doctor soon following after his teammate. Merrily dragging his cane along the ground; refusing to bat an eye at any of the few wares that actually prodded Gimini's discomfort.
"In a way though, you truly are the luckiest girl in all of Remnant. Having such a brilliant partner, that is."

Her unamused expression was the first response, followed by the roll of her violet eyes. After seventeen years, she never understood his constant need to piss people off. Its surprising that Gimini survived their Beacon days with that sort of behavior.
"I know you don’t mean any of that."
"At least the incompetent part. At least the team’s hotness average will skyrocket once you’re gone."
Eyes narrow. Is he amused? Not entirely. Then again this banter of theirs was typical to them. He was now only attempting to think of a way to respond, should he inflate this banter of theirs more? Or cut his losses and aim for civility? Decisions, decisions.
"You know you'll never be rid of me. I'm stuck you like a nasty 'ol tick."
He rocks lightly upon his heels. Gimini leaning the slightest towards his leader. Light humming emitting from the foul doctor as he keeps golden colored eyes focused upon the object of their intest.
A sigh of annoyance came from the leader. She should know by now that Gimini’s one goal in life was just to irritate anyone and everyone. Maybe one day she won’t be bothered by it, but that day definitely wasn’t today.
"There are plenty of huntsmen starting with the letter G that would love to be in your shoes.”
"I'm sure there are. I mean, being in the same team as an incompetent, but beautiful leader? It's as they say, incompetence loves company. Or is that misery?"
A laugh sounds from the likes of Gimini. Adjusting his posture to be neat and proper as he kept his hands at his sides. Pushing the buttons of his leader was what he lived for; even though in reality he was quite fond of her. But, couldn't go and let it come out in such a sweet way, right?
We're gonna get to that much needed rewrite of background, weapon, and Semblance soon enough. Probably sometime tonight? Maybe.

"Hm? Oh, you were threatening my position again? Dreadfully sorry, Cece. It's just, I think this is somewhere in the fifth dozen or so time that you've threatened me."

Her teeth gritted at his words, disregarding them entirely. She was a shield; an impenetrable wall that let things hit her and watched them fall to the ground without leaving a scratch. She spoke irritably because it was all she knew, all she was taught. She spoke with venom to prevent those from daring to try and wring out true feelings, and he was getting there, getting too close and she could hardly stomach it. ♒ —— ❝ To be nothing is to not exist. I exist. Before me, you will continue to be that nothingness, because I do not need help, I do not need advice, I do not need control, I do not need to become vulnerable. I am but a wall in which stands unfazed. I will not dare to fall; the day I do shall be a day of true sacrifice. ❞ Her eyes leered at him, and her baton twirled angrily in her hands before she curtly turned away from him, ready to leave. Her voice was cold and quiet, much like his. ♒ —— ❝ You will never elicit fear from me. Fear is destroyed by my will. ❞
⟨♔⟩ — What a poor, depraved soul she was. Body having turned away from him, Gimini can do little but stare upon her back with a weighted gaze. He needn't gaze any deeper to see the scars that riddled the poor girl's body into nigh ruin. In history, mankind has doomed itself with the repetition of one mistake after the other, and this was a practice not limited to simply civilizations. People—people too made such mistakes, and they continued to do so, till there was naught but ruin left.
What about her? What will Cerise do—? Concerned for her, Gimini has bitterly spoken, but has she listened? No, she has not, nor does she intend to. There is little more that Gimini can do, at least, right now. She is a wall, but not is she invincible; like any foundation, she trembles, also is she plagued with her weak points. One day a mighty wind shall blow, and when it does? Cerise shall crumble to dust.
"Fear is not destroyed, but tamed. Cerise, you are no wall. You are a net—you ensnare the troubles that might come you way, but even when you do there is still holes from which that trouble slips through."
░♛░ Cinder had to be quick on her feet; he was observant, perhaps too observant for his own good. He was going to be a problem somewhere along the line. Mercury wouldn’t mind one extra job, would he? Sliding her hand down her side, she fluttered her eyelashes.
"Not at all; thank you for the warm welcome. Everyone has been so receiving of us…”
"Oh, but of course! Why shouldn't I be welcoming of our academy's newest attendees? Temporary or not, any soul that passes through these halls are our responsibility. You are by no means an exception, Miss."
