“…”
“Okay. I’ll bite. What’s a boner and why do we need to talk about them?”
“Huh?”
“... That wasn’t there before.”
“ And if my power nullified that?”
Lightning charged to surround the street now, about to engulf the two of them in it’s radiate powerful light. Force blasting the glasses next to them to burst forth. Slowly, the energy left and went back inside of his body, sparking a bit around him before smirking.
“ No need to do so…at least right now. If you are that fearless, you must have a high power locked away, don’t you? I do as well. “
Well, it wasn’t like Saitama cared enough to call out a six year-old on his bluff. You had to play along with kids or else they’d cry and no one wanted to deal with a snotty brat.
Anyone else would have been impressed by the display of electrical manipulation, but everyone’s favorite caped baldy just ignored the destruction surrounding him. Old habits died hard.
“Huh? A high power? Not really.”
“ I may or may not given the amount of times you Don’t use my name. I have no harm in deep-frying you with my power if I want to at any time. “
Glaring lightning sparking around his right hand, looking over to baldy before he held his hand out. Large blaze of lightning surrounding his body, eyes piercing purple eyes.
“You’re totally wasting your time if you’re trying to scare me. I’m just gonna respawn, aren’t I? Whatever. Go ahead and kill me,” he said, fearless as ever.
“ I am gonna assume….that is a compliment? Demon world’s education system is sped up considerably. “
This man was interesting, and he seemed to have some sort of strength about his figure. Tilting his head, before approaching him to be five feet from him.
“ Saitama. I am Zeno Bell, demon prince of the demon world. Now then….are you a new arrival?”
“First aliens, now this. I’m not even surprised.” At least this one isn’t hostile. He’s not really in the mood to fight. Saitama still has to wait out the whole not having powers thing.
“I guess I’m still considered a new kid. You’re not going to pick on me now, are you? I’d be a dozen grades above you if I was still in school, kiddo.”
“…One. I am six years old, and a demon prince. Two, mentioning my mother is very….very dangerous for someone who just arrived. “
Malice erupting around his aura, glaring him down before his anger was in his eyes. Lightning erupting around his figure before slowly walking over to the bald man.
“ Tell me. Who are you? Besides some hair deprived human. “
“Huh?” Now that couldn’t be right. “You’re only six? You talk like you’re in fourth grade.”
He set his arms upon his hips. Saitama was somewhat impressed with this little boy’s vocabulary. Most kids didn’t know what “deprived” meant as far as he knew.
“My name’s Saitama.”
because why not
Was it a coincidence that these two souls met one another?
Maybe. Maybe not. As contrived as it was for Saitama to walk into a convenience store at the same exact time as one Arisato Minato, it happened and he crushed his glove against the metal handle of the door while trying to squeeze on by.
Stubbing his dominant hand like this was not how he expected to go down. Crippled by the pain of first world problems, Saitama dropped to his knees and idly remembered to himself that most convenience stores had cameras pointed at the exits. Ah. So his defeat had been recorded. Even better.
“Why do bad things happen to good people?”
@foolpotential
“You look an awful lot like a supervillain.” It was the beard. All the beard. That beard. Man, oh man. This guy screamed evil. “I’m not going to have to beat you up and bring you to justice, am I?” Apparently Saitama hadn’t learned ever since getting the brains squeezed out of him by some hero-killer or whatever. Not like he’d run into the guy again ever since. He may not have had his super strength anymore, but he sure did enjoy good luck.

an earworm is not a tangible concept
[ ♬ ] His display of gratitude was almost -almost- humbling, considering the only time Luka had been the recipient of such was usually after she had acknowledged a fan and sent them off with an autograph. While she still did not smile, her features - normally cold and sharp - did soften perceptively. It’s only after being graced with the moniker of ‘Miss Idol’ did the corners of her lips finally raise.
[ ♬ ] ’If only you knew,’ boastful thoughts expressed as little more than a soft giggle hidden behind a raised hand, one that deftly got to work momentarily tangling itself in rose-colored locks once it’s job was done. “Miss Idol? Then should I call you Mr. Superhero?” While others might have opted to utilize the distinct lack of hair on the man’s head in some way to form a nickname, it was his garish attired which stood out most.
[ ♬ ] Fully prepared to disclose her true name in that moment, Luka instead decided it’d be best to tag along with the hero’s plan and accompany him to the store’s jazz section, casually wondering how long she could elude revealing the truth. “It certainly does hold aesthetic appeal…and I don’t think I know this artist. Shall we listen?"
[ ♬ ] Unsure whether they would have to don headphones or not, the android placed her hands over her own faintly illuminated pair and gingerly pulled them away, mindful of the jacks that connected them to her systems as they came unplugged, and allowed them to hang around her neck.
Considering how she could have went with Caped Baldy, Mr. Superhero was not as corny as you’d think. “I’m okay with that. It suits me, right?” Plain, like the way he dressed.
He stared in awe, though, when the girl began to separate cables that looked like they were hooked directly into her and not a pair of headphones or something. Must’ve been her superpower. (No, clearly she wasn’t human. He totally knew that. It’d just be rude to point it out so randomly!)
“Um. You’re not a cyborg, are you?”

@consecutivenormalpunches
— [ ✪ ] — He still insists on there being no need to dress up for the occasion. Halloween doesn’t have much of a point to him; as an adult, there’s no need to go door to door to take candy, and as a recluse, it isn’t like he’s attending any ‘sophisticated’ alcohol filled costume parties.
Yet, there is a spot of appeal in dressing in a costume. One can pretend to be someone they aren’t– something which Oleander already proves to be good at. He’s lied to himself and others for so long, that doing it under the guise of a costume doesn’t seem that weird.
He’s decided, really, to play at being a hero. It isn’t like the outfit is anything new to him. In fact, only one other citizen knows what the hell is up with Kochamara, and Raz ain’t going to blab to everyone about it. Well, hopefully, because he honestly doesn’t want anyone to know his true intentions.
He’s gonna be a hero.
The Coach barely even gets dressed in his 'costume’ when his eyes lock onto a figure who either has a similar idea or fights crime for a living. Considering the bizarre aspects of this city, either could be a possibility. Not like he minds all too much.
Hesitantly, he waves when he notices the other looking back. And suddenly, yes suddenly he feels self conscious about this idea. It’s really swell that no one can witness his facial features, especially this superpowered bald-headed man.
Plenty of people from Z-City tried to play hero. You know the type: Out for fame and glory or recognition. People who were thirsty for a purpose who weren’t really willing to commit to the job.
Saitama didn’t really feel a thing for them. He couldn’t even say he was disappointed. Everyone had their way of going through life and he just so happened to have more drive and determination than others were capable of. Simple as that.
He was surprised, though, when someone tried to catch his attention. He’d been staring at the sign behind the stranger, wondering what sort of sale was being advertised. Oh well. He’d have to get closer to get a better look, so he might as well have said hello.
As he drew closer, he thrust out his hand and asked, “So what’s your name?”
Everyone’s favorite superhero is probably in need of new interactions. Like this post for a random starter! Message me if you’ve a preference for serious or not so serious.
“Eating out? Well why don’t you just bring some food with you then? Ever heard of packing a home lunch?”
“And please, don’t answer that question. It was a rhetorical one that you should just let sit in your mind. Honestly, you’re complaining about every little thing. Shouldn’t you be more concerned of the fact that you’re trapped in this city instead?”
True. There were more pressing concerns. But none of them really held his interest, what, with his ability to destroy virtually anything with a single punch. Saitama bit back a sigh, realizing that this man just wouldn’t understand. He didn’t have the energy to offer a demonstration either and merely shrugged.
“It doesn’t bother me all that much.”
✯ Ah, the wonders of ignorance over how the world works. I wonder if Maya’d still love burgers if she knew the story behind them. …Probably she would.
✯ “I only noticed it now too. Guess she’s not going to the Burger Farm. Oh, where’re you going, by the way?”
“I have no idea. I figure I’d just take this bus all the way to the end and... wait for it to go back around?” That was one way to see all that there was to see within the city. “That way I don’t have to move a muscle.”
i don’t want praises or an ovation, so i fight evil in secret
This wasn’t what she expected. She–
–really, she shouldn’t have gotten into this car at all.
Dahlia curled her fingers against her dress, and stared stubbornly out her window, eyes silently glaring at the reflection of Saitama’s face in the glass.
“Of course you did. You always do whatever you want.”
“That part of you didn’t change a whit.” She fiddled with the edges of her sash, fingers worrying the fabric like a bird picking at the threads. Outside, the world rushed by in a swirling haze of red and yellows, lights from the city streets. The rain pounded steadily against the roof, muffling the world while cocooning them in, two people against the world.
“…it’s not out of my way,” Dahlia muttered, voice soft enough to hide behind the storm. “The hospital’s right next to the train station, so.”
“Don’t make assumptions about things you don’t know.”
Her nail snagged on a corner of the silk, and Dahlia gave a short sigh of impatience as she paused to untangle it from her sash. How annoying. She’d have to ask that tailor to fix it for her.
If only all loose threads were so easily mended.
Well, she wasn’t entirely wrong about his on-a-whim devil-may-care attitude. When you became as strong as him, you began to lose your sense of purpose. How was he to take anything seriously when the worst that ever happened was missing a bargain day at the supermarket? His overreactions were a byproduct of a mundane life.
Still, how was she this affected by his personal choices?
Saitama wasn’t the only one reflected in the glass. Watching the woman’s face twist and huff, he genuinely wondered what sort of history existed between her and some alternate version of him that had supposedly frequented this city before. Would it make a difference if he tried to navigate this relationship as it stood?
“I’d like to think I know myself. So if I say I wanted to, then I wanted to. What makes you think a guy like me has ulterior motives?”
Numerous reasons floated to the forefront of his mind. People had called him suspicious time and time again. All because he was a little too enthusiastic in his actions.
“I dunno what you could possibly give me other than a ride to the hospital.”

What is up with every just bumping into him? He just came to grab a slice of pizza, it seems like what ever he did, humans wouldn’t stop bothering him neither way. While being bumped into someone, almost losing his balance and his own pizza at the same time. Good thing he was a ninja.
Grinding his teeth Raphael turns to face the other, with his already angry face, “How about you watch your way the next time, buddy?? Also, Why should I go see the doctor for? I’m perfectly fine!”
“You look like a mutated turtle,” he said matter-of-factly, not at all taking into consideration how his words could have been seen as offensive. He was the kind of guy who always spoke what was on his mind, even if it got him into trouble. Especially if it got him into trouble. “You’re not wearing a costume, right?”
Green skin and shell aside, the guy looked kind of cool. The bandanna over the eyes was definitely a nice touch. Make it black and he would’ve been like a turtle-y Zorro.
✯ “Same for me! People have the right to enjoy their meat as much as they want! I mean, sure, cows are cute and all, but they must be well treated their whole lives, right? Nobody would let a farm that makes cows suffer to sell meat!” Things are more complicated than you imagine at that regard, Maya, but you’re right in questioning that poster too.
✯ “When I saw this seat was vacant? You don’t want a fair maiden like me to spend a whole bus travel standing up, do you?”
“Exactly. Farmers are responsible people who understand the weight of their responsibility.” No, Saitama, they really weren’t. Most were trapped under the thumbs of questionable government policies or big corporations.
“Oh. Did that granny reach her stop already? That was quick.” He was going to be on this for a long, long time, all for the sake of a good burger.
“Well that’s your problem and not mine. It shouldn’t be much of a problem, though. Just minor issues. I mean, you could be homeless. You have a home! Be glad for that, yes?”
“Though the districts? Underground living. Pretty much living in huts and shanties beneath the city. Hardly anything nice, but it is as well living. If anything, most people hardly have time to live in their new homes. Mostly sleeping. There’s much to offer in this city. Enough to keep one distracted throughout the day.”
“I really can’t argue with you when you’re being so reasonable.”
“So what you’re saying is to stay out of the house as often as possible. But eating out is so expensive!”
