THE LAST BLOG 😢😢
1. For me, this Christmas this year means so much to me. Just last monday (dec 4), my lolo died of pneumonia. It is an understatement to say that we were u prepared to lose him so quickly. He was still strong and didnt really show any signs of being weak. In fact, he was one of the most active in the house. Coping is difficult and i know that it would be so different having this first Christmas without him. Despite this, i know that daddy cesar (my lolo) will be watching over us. 2. My main wish for the world is understanding and strength. Especially in this generation where people are becoming more vocal about their own beliefs, it is just so easy to receive negative criticisms and misunderstandings. I believe that we, as feeling human beings, try our best to be strong but it's normal that sometimes we just aren't. I wish that the people in the world are those who will give strength to one another instead of take away. 3. I expected that the class will become kinda closer given the time we spent together working on the project. I expected that it would be a lot and for sure, experience the essence of teamwork. 4. We were able to show the Christmas gift i want for the world in a sense that we got through it despite the trials and miscommunications. We were able to challenge our own patience and work together effectively. Although there are times when people would get hot-headed or stressed about the lantern, we all tried to look past that and made sure to continue the work that had to be accomplished 5. I felt like i was really a part of something. It was so great since we didn't really have to force people to cooperate. They just did! We would all make stars during those times when we didn't have much to do and we all attended to the work that was set for all of us. I feel proud to say that we succeeded in making a very nice lantern WAHU

I believe that all agencies are equally important and serve a role in promoting art in the country. Each agency focuses on a specific category of Philippine art and keeps each one alive. I agree with separating each kind of art into a specific agency because this way, they are able to put all their resources and focus into promoting that art in the best way possible. If i were to create an agency to promote art in the Philippines, i will call it 'Seening'. This is a play on words which refers to 'Sining' which means 'art' and 'Seen' or 'seenzoned' which is term often used by millennials when their message was read but not noticed. Its function is to promote art to millennials of today who have continued to be ignorant to the identity art gives us. After all, it is also them who will be those to continue our legacy in art for both the older and future generations to enjoy. One project i will make is a type of open contest that focuses on art application. For a whole week, contestants (who are millennials) will be given materials and a theme to base and make different types/categories of art on (like spoken word, painting, 3d art, etc. ) They will be given resources and technology which can allow them to manipulate their art. This can help them discover new and exciting forms to the art they made. After the whole week, the day will come for an open exhibit where the artists will be able to present the work they make. The work which is voted creative or with the most social impact will win the competition.
what I said Filipino art ??
I agree with the claims of Leo Benesa mainly because of the variety that Amorsolo puts into his work. The situations he places the people in his art truly looks as if he is putting the viewers into the shoes/experiences of these people in the paintings. His art style truly depicts the simple Filipino life in the countryside with his realistic style which is generally a nice view for the eyes. The expressions of the characters themselves shows people who do this work to live and I love how he knows how to properly catch the light in his paintings.
Personally, I believe that making use of your native language plays a big role in showing appreciation and acknowledgement of that certain persons nationality. I believe that his work will still remain very Filipino though because with a piece of work's 'Filipino-ness' comes other factors which also contribute to this. There is also the pride a piece of art brings and its intent to depict the lifestyles of our Filipino people.
Blog # 2 💘
-The building we went to was an old building with a relatively high ceiling. It has white walls which were important on putting the focus on the art. They popped out more since the wall color was not distracting. -The space in the gallery was pretty small if we were to consider the amount of students looking around at once. It only took up one room and the art were very organized. There was a good mix between watercolor, acrylic, sculptures, and the like ! When you enter, there will be sculptures to your side, and rest of the art when you work your way in are composed of paintings and drawings. The paintings were placed on the surrounding wall and a small divider in the middle of the gallery. Since we are a lot of students, it felt pretty cramped inside, making it hard to roam around. The light in the gallery was a mix between yellow and white light depending on the art in that area. The light used wasn't straining to the eyes at all and complimented the art it was illuminating. -There is a total of 41 art pieces in the gallery. One thing i noticed was the prominence of women artists in this gallery. These include artists like Katti Sta. Ana, Maria Thibaya Mendoza, Angelica Versoza, Julie Lluch & Jade Navarro Bengo -I could say that my favorite was 'Coconut Wine' by Joanne de Leon. This is because i really enjoyed the clean, good-feel mood of its painting style (watercolor). In general, it made me feel very calm. It wasn't one of those gloomy paintings. -One thing for sure is that mood of each piece totally varied. There is no, one art style and thats what made the visit very enjoyable! There were fun watercolor paintings with cute situations being depicted, accompanied with bright colors but there were also very dark abstract and realistic works as well. -I suggest that maybe there could be an extension to the gallery, just so that people won't be crowded in one room when roaming. This (separating some art into separate rooms) is also a great way to bring more focus to certain pieces of art. All in all, i enjoyed my visit. It felt very calming, especially coming from a bug amount of school work the day before. I truly have a bug appreciation for different forms of art and so even though his gallery wasn't the biggest, i still genuinely enjoyed my visit :)
I expect
- This term i aim to achieve a grade within the range of A’s. I want to be able to feel satisfied with the work i make and i hope that that will reflect through my grades. -In order to achieve my goals, i must to know how to properly space out my time.In order to get all my other work done and give effort to this subject needs discipline. I will get all the easy work done and out of the way so that i can spend time on the projects that need brainstorming and time. -I believe that this subject can serve as an outlet for me to think outside the box. I will be pushed to be more imaginative and it can also practice discipline with are both very important i other fields of academics as well. -i expect that this subject will serve as a way to let out our creative inputs amidst all the academic topics that we have to learn in STEM. - I believe that the most useful part of this subject is actually the break from acads that this can give us STEM students. I believe that every now and then, having time to let out our emotions through different outlets like art is essential for us humans to stay sane. -i believe that the most challenging part of this subject could be time management. This is why i placed 'time management' in my answer to the second question. I acknowledge that the projects we have in this subject might be something that will clash with out academic school work. I hope that we can still have the time to sleep trying to finish both. - i will meet with my friends. I find that when i work with a small group of people who are eager to get work done, i get affected myself. This can be my way to push myself to do all the work i have to finish.
