Hey yo, looking to hire an artist to do some pictures for a poem I’m intending to publish as something that looks and feels like a children’s book but isn’t. Would be a reasonable payment up front plus some negotiated % back end (if any ever exists - take the gig for the up-front cash and the permission to show the work in a portfolio).
Looking like about 13 verses, 1 - 3 pictures per verse as needed to tell the story, color.

STEEL AND FLESH AND BLOOD AND TEARS
TO KILL OR DIE BOTH EQUAL FEARS
MATCHED IN SKILL, BUT FATE DID KNOW
THE KNIGHT WOULD STRIKE A KILLING BLOW
HIS BROTHER FELLED, AND CLOSE TO DEATH
