Light is so important to so many across the planet. A time to celebrate the end of the last of the Harvest festivals, of Lughnasadh, Mabon and Samhain, this was a time to end the year and begin to mark the passage of darkness. Originally a time to honor the dead, our ancestors and remember kin and the stories of old, this holiday like so many others, became overtaken by the church, and rewritten to write out all things Pagan. History should never stay hidden, for that is where ignorance is breed. Conversations and Coffee - Season Two - Changes, Creating Sacred Spaces in Adversity PART 2 - Dealing with a loss of home, loss and health changes. Making the most of each day that is given. This video is a hard one to make as I have to share more personal struggles, but that is life, not all things are beautiful, but you can make beauty from them. Recently we lost our home of four years, and I suffered a series of TIA, (mild strokes), this propelled me by force to make changes. But wherever we are, we are hOMe. That is the beauty of it. I want to give a huge thank you to our Ocean View community for supporting us thus far on our journey. Without them, we would have never made it back to my family in the midwest. Premieres Sunday: 🕙💮🕙☕8 AM EST @naradahaus-lynnealubbenTwo Halves Don't Make it Whole, The Journey Home - (Dedicated to my husband Patrick and my children that walked the path with me towards wholeness, forgive me when I stumbled)We come in through the darkness, carrying the most precious light one could ever imagine, but on the way, we give away our light, often without consent, often in the name of pleasing...we were taught to please, to be loved. We kept looking for someone to love us the way we "remembered" love to be, that mixed with the messages from media, and the damaged souls also looking for their light, created a soup of forgetfulness along the way.  ~Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.~ Corinthians 

We get glimpses of love, but no one ever really taught us we had to start first with the self. Not in a selfish way, but in a selfless way, looking to ourselves for our roadblocks, looking to ourselves to find happiness, joy, peace...journeying home. 

The world is cyclical, how we experience that cycle is about how much of us we gave up along the journey. Will it be  peaceful dance of birth, cycling through our seasons, and back home again, or will it be a cycle of trauma, repeated victim stances, and romances, that did not paint the "perfect picture" of what media, fairy tales, and more said it would be. Or, fall into the same traps those around us did, and repeat familial cycles, that were never meant to be engraved so deeply into our psyche? This is the journey back to home, back to the center of ourselves.

"This was perhaps a very hard video to create. Mostly because it deals with addiction, toxic femininity, cycles of abuse, self-sabotage, and emotional vampirism, yes I said that word" "Until we learn how to create energy inside ourselves, we will constantly need to create it by taking it from others. How is this done? Often, when we choose to stay within a trauma bond, it first damages you, secondly, it creates the victim stance; Those with good hearts will often reach out first to someone in trouble...as they become stronger they often see that these old archetypical behaviors are old toxic femininity models that once helped us to survive... But dear ones, we have to get out of them in order to thrive, we have to create our own energy, we have to do the work for ourselves, NO ONE else can do it for you, can do it for us. And lastly, it victimizes children of those caught in trauma bond, and those who are close. We have all been there, all been in trauma, all done very small things, all hurts others,  but then we have to grow...we have to heal." Be Gentle with Yourself, but also...be brutal. Take that first step to look in the mirror and say: "How much of this is me? How much of it is someone else? What can I DO first, How can I end things that are not healthy, how can I break my own cycles...." This is a story of our shadow...and in the month of water, there is no better place to start.... - Namaste
