Jabber's normal day of Messing/Fighting with zanka.
(Also flirting with him, don't question it it's complicated)

Jabber barely noticed how late it had gotten.
The rest of his house was dead silent.
Only the small lamp above his workbench remained on, casting a warm circle of light across scattered papers, loose screws, and half-finished projects.
He sat hunched over a glass of vile, carefully adjusting the chemicals moving inside.
Clink.
Clink.
Click.
The glass vile brushed agent each other.
Jabber grinned.
"There you go."
Finally he was done, usually projects never took so long to do but this one was especially tricky to do.
It was finally done and jabber was satisfied with the result as he held it up to his face to admire it with a sly and wide smirk.
-
Then the room shimmered with a sudden light the room warmed up adnomaly.
He felt goose bumps crawl up his arms as he sat up.
The room was warming more to the point of getting hot, summer had barely started so this was more then odd.
The light above his desk warped.
The walls bent slightly.
Jabber froze.
The glass vial slipped from his fingers.
"...What the f-?"
The room rippled again.
His shelves stretched.
His shadow multiplied.
The ticking clock on the wall began skipping seconds.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
Tickticktick.
Tick.
A strange feeling settled into his chest heavily.
The feeling that something was standing behind him.
Watching.
Waiting.
Jabber turned.
Nobody.
The room was empty he should be fine.
-
He felt like the world was spinning at this point.
Then everything went black.
There was no falling.
No movement.
No sensation at all.
One moment he existed.
The next—
Nothing.
Endless black.
Jabber's breath caught in his throat.
He couldn't tell if his eyes were open.
Couldn't tell if he was standing.
Couldn't tell if he was floating.
The darkness felt infinite never ending.
Suddenly.
A force pushed him.
Hard.
His face struck something invisible.
A wall.
He frozen in place it felt like the only thing he could do at this point.
Nothing was there.
But he could feel it.
A smooth surface stretching in word as he was pushed into it.
Then—
Light.
Blinding white.
The darkness vanished.
Jabber floated down?
Up?
Maybe?
He didn't know but he was going somewhere.
He found himself floating inside a vast white space.
No floor.
No ceiling.
No horizon.
Just white.
Endless white.
His heartbeat thundered in his ears, all he can force himself to say was.
"Were am I?"
No answer he should have known No one would answer, he was floating in the middle nowhere but he felt...
Felt not completely alone.
Then he heard it.
Click.
A low sound.
Behind him.
Click.
Click.
Tick.
Click.
Like bones tapping together.
Slowly.
Carefully.
Jabber turned around.
And froze.
Something floated only a few feet away.
A HEAD.
Nothing else.
No neck.
No body.
Just a head suspended in the endless white void in the middle of literal nowhere.
And you might ask what the worst part about it was?
Well.
It was HIS head.
Jabber's stomach dropped at the sight.
The face was identical to his.
Every feature.
Every detail.
Except for the eyes.
The eyes never blinked and had a more animalistic feel to them...
The Heads hair drifted through the air like it was underwater, curling around the floating head in slow, unnatural spirals.
Click.
Tick.
Click.
The thing tilted its head.
Similar to the way Jabber did when he was confused.
And all jabber can think in that moment was how was this thing making noises and how was it ALIVE?!
For a long moment neither moved.
Neither spoke.
The only sounds were the it's clicking noises.
The ticks mixing in.
"..."
Then it drifted closer.
Closer.
Closer.
Until its face was inches from his own.
Jabber couldn't move for some reason he didn't know why of course.
Could hardly breathe.
The thing stared directly into his eyes.
Studying him.
Recognizing him.
Its lips slowly parted.
And when it finally spoke—
Its voice sounded like his.
Only older.
Broken.
Worn thin.
-
"Keep yourself together."
-
The words were barely more than a whisper.
A warning.
A plea?
Something moved behind him.
A shadow he didn't notice until it was far to late.
Long fingers emerged from the white suddenly and institutely.
Too many joints.
Too long.
Too thin.
Too sharp.
They wrapped around Jabber's shoulders.
His waist.
His throat.
His face.
Jabber gasped.
The floating head's eyes widened.
For the first time, it looked afraid but not of the thing wrapping around Jabber no it was something else, jabber had no time to think about it or to cear.
The fingers tightened.
The white space around Jabber cracked like glass breaking apart shattering so loud his ears were ringing, he was shocked they weren't bleeding.
Darkness spilled through the fractures.
Jabber opened his mouth to scream.
But no sound came out.
The last thing he saw was his own face staring back at him silently watching as he was pulled away.
Farther and farther away.
The void swallowed him hole.
Instantly.

MEM (RIZE)-(ORY) - Chapter 1
Then the alarm started screaming in Zanka's ear as the sun peeks through his window into his eyes.
Zanka groaned.
He sat up and turned it off.
The room fell quiet.
For a moment he stared at the ceiling, trying to gather enough energy to exist.
No luck.
With a long sigh, he forced himself out of bed.
His routine never changed.
Shirt.
Pants.
Jacket.
Shoes.
Backpack.
Done.
Simple.
Easy.
Automatic.
The less he thought about it, the faster the morning went.
Downstairs, breakfast was already waiting.
His family sat around the table.
Conversations drifted back and forth.
School.
Work.
The weather.
The usual.
Zanka barely participated.
Not because he disliked them.
He just wasn't much of a talker.
He listened.
Ate.
Nodded occasionally.
Then stood up once he finished.
"I'm leaving."
A few goodbyes followed him out the door.
The morning air was cool.
The streets were already filling with children heading toward school.
Everything looked normal.
Everything felt normal.
So why...
Zanka frowned.
Something felt off.
Not dangerous.
Not wrong.
Just...
Missing.
He shoved his hands into his pockets.
The feeling remained.
A strange emptiness.
Like reaching into a bag and finding something wasn't there.
Even though you couldn't remember what you were looking for.
The sensation sent a chill crawling down his spine.
Zanka stopped walking.
For a brief second—
He heard something.
A voice.
Far away.
Broken apart by static.
"J-ab-... -b-r..."
The sound vanished immediately.
Zanka blinked.
"...What?"
Nothing.
Only the wind.
Children continued walking around him without noticing.
The voice was gone.
The feeling remained.
A faint pressure behind his eyes.
Like a memory trying to surface.
Or trying to stay buried.
He continued walking.
A few steps later the sensation disappeared completely.
The name.
The voice.
The chill.
Gone.
As though none of it had happened.
Zanka walked forward silently gripping his backpack straps
"I've been feeling weird lately..."
His voice was barely above a whisper in his mind.
"I feel like I'm forgetting something."
The thought lingered for a moment.
Then it faded too.
And by the time he reached the school gates...
He couldn't even remember why he'd been thinking about it.
"What a weird day..."
