i am still super inspired by itsyamtastic’s beatles gem au and i tried to plot out my own kinda story :D :D

similar to the Help! movie, everyone is after Ringo’s ring, only in this universe, Ringo literally is the ring, and also the beatles help him take back the homeworld throne, because come on, the beatles in charge of homeworld, that’s definitely better than anything yellow diamond’s doing with the place^^

I get that Ringo is a diamond and Paul is a pearl, but what are John and George in the Gem AU?

OMG I HAVE SO MANY ANSWERS :D (sorry for this long post)

george, paul and john are all pearls, who are living their dream, singing for their diamonds (blue, green and yellow respectively)! yay!

but! they want to play *together* and they want to perform better songs, not just the lyrical garbage they need to churn out for their overlords.

so they devise a plan to steal white diamond’s pink ring. Because, that’s weird, right, why would she wear something off color? john suspects it has enough power to give them independence and immunity from the diamonds and perform for all of homeworld. they are all desperate enough to go along with this crazy scheme.

several shenanigans later  (involving them finding out how to use their weapons, which are just guitars and basses, so that’s kinda tough) and they manage to get away with the ring, but omigod-

they try to use it, or activate and accidentally break the-

(needed to look this up)

they break the shank! :D

and ringo, who is actually pink diamond, emerges!

who immediately hides his trauma of being imprisoned in a ring by white diamond for centuries, by making jokes ;O;

they form a band called the Centipeatles and then the plot of Help! happens or something silly like that.^^

and it was true love at first sight

loosely based on those stories of ringo (while still being with rory and the hurricanes) listening in on the beatles late at night, sometimes the only one left in the bar, and always drunkenly requesting blues songs (they all apparently thought he looked like a super tough guy, what with his beard and grey stripe and suit :’D) which is just .. adorable.

.. so this is basically what happened in my canon

apparently when it got cold while touring the beatles used to form a “beatle sandwich” (term coined by sir paul mccartney himself) to stay warm.

only problem: the one on top would slowly start freezing to death, so they switched continously.

ok so this is mostly fictional (except the thing with cutting ringo’s hair, would you believe)

anyways– in the anthology they also touched upon the beatles meeting the queen and the working class/upper class divide still being felt there and 

.. yeah if i were to make a beatles cartoon, protective brian epstein would be every episode :’D

i was inspired yet again by this awesome fanfic :’D this is of course super fictionalised for drama’s sake, and i don’t know what mr. epstein and mr. barrow actually said to lennon to convince him to apologise

What kind of beetles are they?

John is a jewel bug (Chrysocoris stolli)

Ringo is a six spot fall beetle (Cryptocephalus sexpunctatus)

Paul is a ladybug (of course)

George is a blue longhorn beetle (Rosalia batesi)

look at this point i am just making comics that i would like to read with no regard for anything else - the don’t even have a punchline, its just moments from a bigger tv show i will maybe someday animate all on my own once i make it big with bitcoin or something.

there is SOME truth to all of this tho: The Beatles and Rory’s Hurricanes did have a bet going on, who would break the stage first (which was just some planks balanced on beer barrels ..) - Rory catapulted himself into it, by jumping from a piano, ultimately destroying it, like a true hero :’)

in this AU, the beatles open up a pizza parlor after the philippines thing in 1966 they’re done with touring and all the fan craze and instead they settle down together. and then 50 years later shane and ryan try to uncover this mystery !! will they expose them to the public and destroy their chill life together? or will they become friends? that’s the magic of this AU ;u;
