Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Hey guys! So, as you probably know, I won a Smashbox primer not too long ago! So, I'm here to talk about whether I liked it or not. 

Now, this primer retails for around thirty dollars, which, in my opinion is quite expensive. It's a silicone based primer that is supposes to minimize lines and the look of pores. For me, it didn't really do either. My pores aren't overly large, so I don't really need something like this primer for that. However, I do get smile lines VERY easily around my mouth, and I had hoped this primer would help with that, and it didn't. Which was a little disappointing... 

One thing this primer does do, however, is make your face feel baby soft. It's a nice primer, but it didn't really do what I wanted it to. I also didn't notice any difference in my makeup application. 

Something to remember is that not everything works out for everyone, so if you still want to try this primer, go for it!

Wet N’ Wild

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been gone for a while! I wasn’t really at my best, but I’m feeling pretty alright right now. Anyway! I’m here to tell you about eyeshadows from wet n’ wild that are only $0.97! I, personally, have them in the shades Sugar, and Brulee. 

Sugar is a beautiful iridecsent white, with some silver glitter. The glitter is very subtle, so if you don’t like chunky glitter, this would be perfect! It’s kind of a satiny finish, and looks beautiful all over the eyelid.

Brulee is a matte brown shade. It’s pretty light, but a little too dark for setting primer for people like me. I’m very pale, however, so it’d be perfect fo someone darker than me! 

Both shadows are soft and easy to work with! I think they’re an amazing price, and would definitely suggest them to anyone!

I did pile it on with my fingers, because, as I said, I’m very pale, and these don’t show up on me as well.

Rimmel Products!

Hey guys! I haven’t posted in a while! So, here we go!

Today I’m gonna talk about three different products from the same brand. Two I love, one I don’t love so much. We’re going to be talking about Rimmel products! 

Now, the two products I love are the Scandal Eyes Retro glam masacara and the Stay Matte powder. 

The masacara, for me, gives amazing length and volume! It’s a little on the clumpy side though, so if you’re not into that, I wouldn’t suggest it. It’s a great masacara though, and the brush is awesome! 

The Stay Matte powder is what I use to set my foundation. I have a dewy foundation because of my dry skin, but this tones it down a bit. I don’t generally like dewy foundations because I feel like they give off too much shine on me. But this tones it down so it’s not completely dewy, but not completely matte! 

Now, the Stay Matte mousse foundation isn’t my favorite. I had it and used all of it, but it was just too thick and I little too whipped feeling! It never set  right on my skin and dried the crap out of it. I thought I loved it for a while, but I realized it just wasn’t working and was making my skin drier than it already was!

Hey guys! So, I’m gonna just tell you about this eyeshadow palette! It’s the Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte eyeshadow palette. This palette cost $15 at Ulta and the Makeup Revolution website! 

It has thirty-two eyeshadows in total, and I find all of them to be fantastic! I use this palette everyday, and since it’s super neutral and has so many colors, I get the chance to try something new whenever I want! (Which is a lot.) I find there aren’t as many dark colors as I would like, but really, if you just mix a couple together, you can achieve a darker eyeshadow color without having to pull out more palettes. I especially love the fifth row to the left... I love the pinks and oranges, and they work so well with my blue eyes! This palette is for sure something I would recommend to anyone!

Foundation!

Hello my people! I have a couple tips for foundation application. 

First off, obviously you’ll want to have a foundation that matches your skin tone, type, and coloration. You can generally find out if you’re cool, neutral, or warm toned by looking at the veins in your wrist! You’ll find blue for cool, green for warm, and somewhere in between for neutral! Another trick is to put on a white shirt, and then see if you look better in gold or silver jewelry.

Now! On to application for liquid foundation! 

I use my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for mine! You can dampen it, and then just kind tap in your foundation to blend it out. I like this technique because it gives you a natural look, with some coverage.

Another way is to spread it in with your fingers! You can use them to spread it out by usuing circular motions. Just make sure to pay attention and try to avoid leaving lines!

You can also use a brush! They have specific brushes for this. I, myself, have never used a brush to apply, but you can definitely find videos on youtube to help you figure it out! 

Now, if you have dry skin like me, but LOVE matte foundation, make sure to moisturize!!! It’ll help keep your skin hydrated. And, if your foundation isn’t blending well, try adding some face oil (only a couple drops) to whatever you used for application!

A great foundation that has an amazing range of colors is the Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation. It comes in Matte+Poreless and Dewy+Smooth. Oily girls wil want the Matte, and dry girls will want the Dewy. But for both, remember, blotting is your friend!
