Keroro Gunso Movie 2026 New Info Megapost: Title, Key Visual, Trailer*, and More Revealed! (On Accident...)
*At the initial posting time, the trailer is currently privated due to the postponement of the official announcement, with all other information having leaked ahead of time via premature press releases that were eventually removed. I’ve left an incomplete section for now, which I’ll update when the video is released.
We finally have substantial news on next year’s movie! As with last time, I will be dividing my reporting into an objective coverage only post (this post), and then dump all my personal opinions and hot takes in a later follow-up. All the information is taken from copies of the same press release article that got plastered around before being taken down, so for now you’ll basically have to take my word for it, but I will link to a copy of the press release when the embargo is lifted.
Movie Title Revealed
The movie will officially be called Shin Gekijouban Keroro Gunso ☆ Fukkatsu Shite Sokkou Chikyuu Metsubou no Kiki de Arimasu! (新劇場版☆ケロロ軍曹 復活して速攻地球滅亡の危機であります！) In English, this approximately translates to “Keroro Gunso the New Movie: We’re Back, and the Earth is Immediately in Danger of Destruction, Sir!” The tweet from Director Fukuda hinting that Shin Gekijouban was the title header was indeed part of the formal title. As previously confirmed, the film will be released in Summer 2026 (no exact date yet).

(The video is still TBA due to the announcement delay; however, we do have a handful of stills from the press releases. I will add the video here and write a summary when that comes out.)
Plot Summary
From the official press release, here’s a brief summary about the movie’s plot (translated by me).
“The Keroro Platoon is spending their lives lazing about (Invasion? What invasion?) when, one day, they’re confronted with an outbreak of several mysterious phenomena all across Japan! Sensing that the Earth is in danger, the Keroro Platoon tackles the threat head-on, with their pride as invaders on the line! What’s the meaning of the mysterious letters they encounter during their travels…? The largest scale battle in Keroro Gunso history hits the scene in the Reiwa era!”

Ok so this randomly popped in my head but like!!!! I remember reading this one REALLY COOL BOOK as a young kid and for the life of me I can't remember what it was called! I think it was from the early/mid 90s, but I'm not even sure? I read it between 2000 and 2001, so unless I got it when it was literally brand new, it was probably from the 90s lol. BUT ANYWAYS!!!
My memory is probably not exact since I'm going off of a first-grade memory, but from what I recall it was about a little boy who finds a cool stick while on a walk to the local library. He covers it in colorful construction paper and calls it his magic wand, and when he goes to the library he starts waving it at the bookshelves and the environments from the books start taking over the library. The nature section becomes a jungle, the ocean section gets flooded, stuff like that.
I remember being SO dazzled by the illustrations along with the story itself and I CAN'T REMEMBER THE TITLE OR AUTHOR AGH!!! I would love to find a copy again one of these days!

My thoughts on the Beast Yeast Episode 11 NPCS potential flavors CONT. Spoilers ahead of the cut-
-The cookies of fallen virtues-
These 4 cookies are by far my FAVORITE DESIGNS IN THIS CHAPTER (Minus Salt of Solidarity)
For starters, The Cookie of Destruction is VERY INTERESTING TO ME FOR 1 REASON. He is the first cookie besides Capsaicin to have dough of this color at least in Kingdom. So I think he's gotta be related to him in some way. I wanna say he could be Pepper Corn, more specifically Szechuan Pepper Corn which is similar colors to him. Pepper Corn Cookie is less of a mouthful though so I'll stick with that.
The Monarch of Sloth was by far the easiest to give a flavor to, this guy is without a doubt Strawberry Lemonade. I love his butterfly mask tying in with being called a "monarch" of sloth.
The Politician of Deceit, is very blue. So once again immediately think of blueberries. But they're actually a lighter shade of blue more like Blue Raspberry flavored treats. And honestly what's a bigger lie than convincing a bunch of kids blue raspberries exist- (I know they had me fooled for a while lol) So Blue Raspberry Cookie.
Finally the Minister of Apathy. The long spindly hair definitely makes me think of noodles, so I wanna say this cookie could be Wheat Noodle Cookie.
-Bonus 2 cookies-
These 2 designs are so fun, I think Artist cookie looks cute (CLOUD HAETAE WHY WOULD YOU MAKE HIM FALL OFF A CLIFF-)
Artist cookie is pretty unique in terms of cookies in Mystic Flours domain, instead of being pale and bland, he's this beautiful caramel color. I don't wanna just be simple and say he's Caramel Cookie (especially since Caramel Arrow already exists-) but seeing as he's much lighter in color he might be a Caramel Milk Chocolate Cookie.
Slothful cookie immediately struck me as lime, but lime cookie already exists so what else could he be? Well I was thinking Key Lime Pie, but his pinkish dough doesn't really fit that. Then I looked over at my sunkist I bought before the update and realized it was staring me in the face this entire time. Watermelon Limeade Cookie.

-The Kala Namak Knights-
These 3 all look so good! My favorite is definitely the Cheery Kala Namak Knight.
Possible flavors?
I think the Happy Kala Namak Knight could be Himilayan Pink Salt. Due to the pinkish hue in her hair.
The Cheery Kala Namak Knight could be Sea Salt, and the Calm Kala Namak Knight I wanna say is Black Salt.
-The sick/poor cookies of the Barren-
Once again for NPCs these designs are incredible, Abandoned Cookie is adorable-
The Sick Cookie looks like they could be something like Milk Cocoa cookie, the lighter brown tones definitely showing chocolate as an ingredient somewhere.
Abandoned Cookie I'm gonna say is Blackberry Cookie, his hair color reminded me immediately of blackberries when I saw him.
Hurt Cookie looks like they could be related to Blueberries in a way, but their pale appearance makes me think of a dried blueberry. So, Dried Blueberry Cookie seems fitting of a name for him.
The Poor Cookie is interesting because of their vibrant pink hair color, the only other times we've seen pink cookies is in the Hollyberrian Kingdom and Eternal Sugars Garden of Delights. However there is one reddish pink berry that isn't shown in the Hollyberrian Kingdom of the Garden of Delights. I'm gonna say this cookie is Red Grape Cookie.
