well, we did the best we could with what we had. motel ran out on tuesday mornin the 15th & the money's been run out from keepin us sheltered. as of writin this it's 247a on wednesday & we're waitin up in an emergency room lobby to have overnight shelter/bathroom access. we're tryin to make it to the time the day shelter up the road opens up later in the mornin. my partner is exhausted beyond measure & continues to feel unwell. personally i'm not doin so hot myself.

we can use any help, any at all, to stay alive!

we're havin an awful time tryin to make it through to mal's disability determination (part II!!!) & get aholt'a long term services & supports. until that comes through we're still in a nasty pinch. please help if y'all can. i'm literally tryin not to fall asleep in this lobby typin this post. links below-

hi everyone. we're alive & sheltered tonight thanks to the generosity of some dear friends, but we've still got a long road ahead of us to find permanent residence. still sloggin thru the disability appeal for my partner over a year on, & although we've filled out beaucoup applications for subsidized housing we've been told to prepare to wait 6 months to a year for an openin. until i'm recognized by the state as my partner's caretaker, i'm still caretakin full time completely unpaid. we cain't get into a shelter together without lyin that we're not a couple, & we're still likely to be separated. considerin my partner's myriad needs i cannot be separated from them for long periods of time.

the cheapest motels in town (that don't require additional $100 deposit) are abt $75-80 a night during the week, & close to $90 on weekends. we're scrapin up every penny we can doin online market surveys but that's only good for abt $10 a day apiece if we really really grind.

we are quite desperate for help. my partner & i both read tarot, & we're thrilled to offer to read yr cards if y'all like. if yr in the denver metro, get in touch if u need yr kitchen cleaned or weeds pulled or whatever i can manage. we have paypal/venmo/cashapp if anyone feels so inclined to help.

we used all available funds to extend our motel stay through tonight & there's $1.48 left on our food stamp card until the 6th. hopefully in the next 2-3 days we'll be hearin back from long term services & supports with some answers, but until any government support comes through we're still in a dire situation. shelters are still a major obstacle as we cannot stay together & my partner cannot go without care through the night. my own pain levels have become unmanageable due to high physical caregivin demand. we are infinitely more vulnerable on the street. if we can stay sheltered until we can get through all this red tape & waitlists, we just might survive.
