New Year

T: Almost the New Year. Got any resolutions?

D: Hm? What’s that?

T: Like, uh… goals you wanna achieve in the New Year.

D: Oh, hmmm… I guess I wanna maybe see more of the world. It would be fun to travel for a while. What about you?

T: That’s a good one. I guess I… I know I have a lot of personal stuff I gotta sort out. Like, emotions and all that.

D: How so?

T: I feel like I’m always wanting to do one thing, but I end up doing another. Like I’m stuck in my old ways. I guess… I don’t really wanna be like that forever. So I wanna try to be better.

D: That’s really mature of you… I’m proud of you, Teddy.

T: Eh, I should’ve been better a long time ago.

D: Change is hard, Ted. No matter how long it takes.

T: Yeah… I guess so.

Christmas Update

D: Hello everyone, I hope you had a good Christmas. Well, if you celebrate it, that is. We had a good time, right Teddy?

T: Oh yeah. Except for the incident with the ham. Yeah… Whatever, the pizza we got was probably better anyway.

D: Yeah… But it was nice seeing all of our friends. And hey, Kumatora didn’t light the tree on fire.

T: That’s true.

D: I’m excited to use the birdwatching book you got me.

T: Oh? Yeah, I hoped that you’d like it. I know you like animal watching and all that. And uh, thank you for the record you got me. You always know what would make me happy.

D: Of course, Ted. You’re my closest friend. Don’t let Kumatora hear that…

T: Heh, your secret’s safe with me.

what are your favorite school subjects? and don't say lunch.

T: Ugh. I hated school. None of the classes were worth my time and the teachers were awful. I liked Music, but that’s just because I like making music. I guess, overall, I’d say Gym, ‘cause I liked throwing dodgeballs at other kids. What about you, Dusty?

D: Uh… I didn’t go to school, remember?

T: Oh. Right.

D: What are the subjects?

T: There’s uh, Music, Math, Science, English, History, Gym, Art…

D: I think if I went to school, I would like Art. I like to sketch in my free time.

T: Can I see?

D: Haha, maybe another time.

Any restaurant recommendations nearby you guys

T: There’s a diner on the South side I like… I used to go there with my parents. I mostly like it for the music, not the food, but the fries are really good.

D: For me, I’ve gotten pretty fond of sushi. I never really cared for fish that much, but I really like it from the local Japanese restaurant. I once ate 6 orders in one sitting…

T: Just a little hungover. I’ll be fine.

T: Maybe… I just need to follow in Duster’s footsteps. He’s got his own life going on, there’s no point sitting here feeling like I’m missing out. How hard can it be, right? I can just… go out. Be social. Get some drinks. You know, real fun. I won’t even think about Duster. I’ll just pick up some guy, and—

Teddy I know you like to sing but do you have any other creative hobbies like for example drawing or painting? Maybe that could help get your mind off of duster being gone too?

T: I’m awful at those types of things. Music’s my only real talent. Besides, I think my mind is too occupied…

Look, I know you probably know this, but Duster cares about you a LOT. Him making new friends or even getting a partner won't change that. If you're really concerned about it, I would talk to him. He seems like the type of guy to understand, y'know?

T: I just… can’t talk to him. Not about this. I know him—if I tell him how I’m feeling, then HE’S gonna feel bad about it. And he didn’t do anything wrong, so it’s not fair to him. He should go out with his friends and go on dates. I can deal with this dumb emotional stuff on my own…
