One-Man Metal Band

This one is bizarre and amazing and I'd love to see what experiential possibilities come out of this technology. The description from the site says it best: "Hexi, an interactive array of 60 hexagonal modules embedded with mechanical servos that use data from a nearby depth camera to physically respond to nearby motion."

The mullet of smartphones

Speaking of smartphones this one is aptly nick-named the mullet of smartphones with an e-ink display in the front and a full color display on the back.  A nightmare for phone case designers, but fantastic for folks who value extremely long-lasting battery life or lovers of smartphones who have vision trouble.

Paddle

Some folks in Belgium have a new phone design called Paddle. Based on a 3d Rubik's Magic Cube Puzzle it's a foldable presto-chango shape shifting smartphone. It's still in the design phase as you can see on the link it's not actually functional. It's a great idea if they can get it to work.
