One of my biggest hopes as a leader for children and adolescents is to empower them to be comfortable in their own skin. Society and media bombard us with images that are difficult to compete with. Ultimately, the only person that you should be comparing yourself to is who you were yesterday. If you can improve upon who you were yesterday, then you have succeeded as a human.

Art work below is published to encourage the grace and beauty within each of us.

As an aside: Through my art, I do my best to represent minorities and those that are under-represented in fashion. Sadly, in high fashion couture, there are very few lasting leaders of color.

Mixed Media Self-portrait January/February 2014 I chose to paint in water colors to relay that, as a human, I am always mutable. Touched by many artists and leaders, past and present, I wanted to demonstrate that I am partially comprised of their influences, as well. 

"I am not just one. We are never alone. We are all connected. I am many."

I desire to give a strong voice to the ever-changing female artist; I suggest that we are all working together to make forward progress. I encourage women to maintain their voices and continue to be heard. Open dialogue is important. "Talk is chic," and words are valuable.

I have also chosen to repeat various words and images throughout my piece to place on emphasis on duality.

What is my book "Elizabeth Cooper: Reflections" about?

Friends, supporters, and those that believe in me--

I began writing my book on September 5, 2011, and I finished one year later, on September 5, 2012.

In total, "Elizabeth Cooper: Reflections" is a creative work that focuses on inner strength and motivation. It has served as a reflecting board for my daily ruminations and visions. It intends to offer inspiration to my readers, as well as demonstrate quiet excellence.

I define my year long creative journey loosely, as an analysis of self, and a base for motivating others. The book includes an abundance of ideas, and a plethora of my art work. 

I am effervescently proud of this opus, and I very much look forward to publishing it! I am filled with anticipation and excitement, for I have a beautiful compilation to share with the world.

So grateful for the opportunity to share my creative work through iBooks Author.

All earnings will go toward my future Medical Education.
